Your Favourite Festivals (other than coachella)

Some of you Americans should consider making the trip up to British Columbia, Canada for Shambhala Music Festival this summer. It's awesome.

Favourite part of this festival was dancing on top of a tree stump at the Fractal Forest Stage until seven in the morning.

Lollapalooza is decent. I'm hoping the High Line Festival that David Bowie's putting together in NYC is awesome.

Glastonbury
Austin City Limits
Sasquatch
Bonnaroo
Lollapalooza
Roskilde
and that one in Ireland that I can't think of right now but starts with a P.

Austin City Limits.The best part is, when the festival is over each night, many of the bands then play club sets... In the past, I've seen (or missed by 5 seconds due to delays getting from the fest to sixth street): Arcade Fire, Wilco, Modest Mouse, The Shins, Drive by Truckers, Buit to Spill after the fest

I wouldn't really consider SXSW a festival in the sense that Coachella/ACL/Lolla/Bumbershoot are. Same thing for CMJ.

True, it's definitely not the same thing. I was wondering if SXSW would even count for this thread, but it calls itself a festival, so that's good enough for me.

It's a huge hippy fest. There was a mushroom fairy walking around all festival carrying a basket of belgian chocolate covered mushrooms on her head.

Shpongle was last summer.

There are about four main stages. One of them has a lot of psytrance, yes. :P

A lot of electro, house, drum and bass, funk, dub on the beach stage in the morning. Bassnectar and Malente killed it last year.
