Heh, so you grew up on a farm? Also, what the fuck is Casualty? That's hardly a good name for a section of the hospital.

Is there an Irish equivalent for the word "hick," btw? Just in case I need it at some point in the future.

Hope you all don't mind I crash this thread, but Life is smiles on this side of the screen as well. Just saw the Black Crowes this past weekend, and will be Heading out to The Dessert to see Morrissey with my best friends this weekend.

MP, glad your pops is ok. And monklish, you got that right.
You know, but that's valid because if we are all gonna die anyway shouldn't we be enjoying ourselves now? You know, I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor insignificant preamble to something else.

To save my soul I can never remember how to spell dessert and desert. He'll be out in Indio.

Culchie or Bogger both kind of serve the purpose, and I'm frequently addressed as either.

Casualty is like your fancy ERs. There's even a very badly acted TV series which predates it's American equivalent.

Dessert = tasty post meal treat, such as pie or ice cream.
Desert = A biome that receives very little precipitation.

    I'm happy your (all) happy.
Started drinking coffee this morning again so work was easily conquered today. 19 days straight of work coming to an end the weekend couldn't be more anticipated. Had a green tea with my amazing lunch today, worked out and talked to a friend about getting tickets for Cali next year.

Everything is where it should be.
    Great Mood!
Saved two girls at DFA. Come at me karma.

Today started off as any normal workday--I was in my usual nonchalant mood. However, within an hour of being at work, I discovered this would be my last holiday season within the United States for at least 2 years.

Come September, I'll be in Japan, just 28 miles outside of Tokyo.

    Giddiness.

    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

What size batteries do you run on, fatbastard? Or, do you just plug yourself in each night?

My computer is all fixed now, this will make the next few weeks of being bed ridden a lot easier. I will be less likely to jump out my third story window. I have also learned I have some really good friends who are willing to drive out of their way to help out in my time of need. That makes me feel great even while in serious pain. Oooh and I have pain meds.

I was driving and decided to see if I could find my way from Atascadero to Morro Bay. On the way, I noticed a house with a large lawn COVERED IN DINOSAURS!!!!! It made my day! Then my friend texted me about a certain something and I decided that this sobriety streak has last long enough. Today = best "fuck you school, I need a me day" ever.

Today is a good day. I'm in a great mood.

My brother is here from Nor Cal. I had my closest friends over, including a chef who works for Wolfgang Puck who cooked us the most amazing lunch ever. Now, my brother and I are going to go for a walk in this beautiful So Cal sunshine before relaxing with a couple of bottles of champagne in the garden and then in a couple of hours, I'll get on a plane and fly to my new home, New York City. I feel so happy and so optimistic about the future. Yeah, good day.

    One word:
    BEACH!
It was a nice break that included only a tiny bit of studying. Now back to the CRP lab...(just assume the P in CRP stands for "Purgatory")

Went camping down at Doheney in Dana Point with the wife and two kids. Now, I was afraid...very afraid of taking a 4 year old and an 18 month old, but the kids slept through the night and had a rad time. Much more of this in the future!

Today, I got a call from someone I just met about a week ago, and we wound up talking for two hours. I usually never talk on the phone. Gave me the warm fuzzies to make new friends.

Nice, Steve!!! We started taking our girls camping when they were babies/toddlers, too. Get 'em early and they'll love it their whole lives. Starting out somewhere close is always smart. If disaster strikes, you can pack up and get home in a hurry. (It never did.)

It's refreshing to get assurance that I'm good at my job. I'm working on a retirement community and took some poorly designed condos that weren't selling and redesigned them to have a more functional floor plan and made room for better closets, kitchens and baths. The sales person just informed me that 6 of 16 have sold in the past month and a half... in this market that is fantastic. That totally put me in a good mood.

I'm off to the DMV... hopefully that doesn't wreck my day.

On the verge of something incredible happening in my professional life. Every step of this process has been uplifting, and a very important target was hit today. The spring weather in NYC isn't hurting any, either. It's a beautiful day.
