Went whale-watching yesterday and saw an incredible humpback whale, some dolphins, jellyfish, and a bunch of fucking sea otters, son. Sea otters.

We will be sailing over to Catalina on Friday, pretty sure we'll be seeing dolphins and whales, kids will be going nuts.

I was worried about my brother who lives in New Orleans, but I just talked to him and he said he's excited about the hurricane.

    No, his exact words were,

"We decided to stay and ride it out...I'm excited haha. Probably just stuck inside tomorrow and without power for a few days after that. Already a ghost town. I got a baseball bat for anyone that decides to try my house."

    Man, i miss him.

my sister is about to wed a billionaire(not really, maybe like a 300 millionaire) genius who happens to be a really nice dude as well. Too bad they both think I'm a loser. They think I should be working 80 hrs a week. 80 hours! do people do that? what about girls and concerts and this kind of business. good grief

Dude, it was great. They just lounge around the kelp forest, floating on their backs all day. And I learned that when they nap they tangle themselves in kelp so the current won't float them away while they sleep. Cutest.Fact.Ever.

People do do this. I have colleagues who do this. I never understood it either.

I don't have kids, but if I did, I think it would be very unfair to them. and in the mean time: how am I supposed to find someone to have kids with if I'm working all day and night. you see its a, a, its a catch-22

80 hours is less than half the week. How long does it take you to fuck?

    24x7 = 168 hrs
    -80hrs work
    -49 hrs sleep(7hrs/day)
    = 39 hrs free time

    - 7 hrs/week fucking(hopefully)
    -7 hrs/week for leisurely reading
=25 hrs/week for friends, AYSO matches, and ballet recitals

    hmmm

I used to work 60-70 hours per week while going to grad school full time. Needless to say, I didn't have much of a social life. I used to carry around a pocket planner, and would have to schedule times to hang out with my friends weeks in advance.

You see it a lot around here. Yeah, congrats you have nice cars and a nice house and a ton of superfluous items that make you feel good about yourself! You know what your kids want instead of all that? A dad to play with.
