If I could pay for anyone to get into coachella it would be you. I would be a coachella hero for that.

It is an exquisite moment right now. I'm sitting alone outside (where it is gorgeous and the sun is shining), I'm listening to Velvet Underground, eating a lightly toasted poppyseed bagel, and drinking an amazing latte, and to cap it off someone just told me I have a nice smile. Thank you all for participating in this minute right here.

I'll never read that any way other than as David Sedaris impersonating Billie Holiday.

The weather is amazing! Typical warm/windy November Riverside weather, which I have missed! My job allows me to return during my school breaks, so I'm making some cash. I drove to Baker's with my windows down at lunch. The food was AMAZING! I have missed my Baker's so much! Then I realized that everything feels safe in this city, despite working in downtown where I am surrounded by crackheads and crazies. I just feel NORMAL again! It's been too long since I've felt this way!

Oh, and I'm going to Orange County tonight for some great Salvadorian food. I feel almost as if I never made the mistake of attending Cal Poly...

So i lost my wallet on saturday night at our Disco Rave Party Bus Ghostland Observatory blow out doing WAY too many highkicks.

Fortunately, i just keep a bill wallet on me, so there was only my ID, CC, and insurance card. I wasn't too bummed since the night was a blast, i had no money in it, and i hadnt lost a wallet since i was 17.

I called the HOB today and someone had turned it in, EUREKA! I showed up to get my wallet and not only were all my cards in there, i found $40 something bucks in there that i thought i had spent.

Someone is getting some REALLY good karma points on their ticker today.

I appreciate that, I really do. I try to spread good karma and do the right thing whenever possible.

(also, sometimes I too shake my head the way things work out. definitely not all things have/do work out well in my life, but I keep those to myself since no one gives a shit)

Speaking of creepy, Gemma...I have requested that Mark give you a long-enough-to-be-creepy hug and say it's from me. Awkwardness all around. Please let me know if he accomplishes the task.

I finally broke down and sold the necklace my father gave me 6 years ago that sat in my closet this whole time. I would have never worn it and was only holding onto it for sentimental reasons. I went in thinking if they don't offer me at least $500 I won't take it. The guy puts it on his little weed scale in the back office of his jewelery shop and says I can give you $880 for it. I was able to choke out an "I'll take it" before nearly choking on my tongue. Little did I know I had rent sitting in my closet for the last 6 years. Now I can buy some of those things I have been putting off for the last 6 months and not stress about money for xmas. YAY

I have a snoring cat on my lap, and I'm in my pajamas. My coffee tastes fantastic. I am off work for the next 5 days. There is pecan pie in my near future. All simple things that, when added together, make for a damn good mood.

Update: I now have TWO cats in my lap. Thankfully, they are our two lightest ones. I can only imagine if both of my 20-pounders wanted to share my lap at the same time.

4 days off. How can you not be in a good mood?
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

    Totally does.

He was hurt on the farm yesterday and spent the night in Casualty. They were initially concerned he'd had a heart attack, but it turns out he'd just actually hurt his arm and shoulder. He's fine though, and still hugely enjoying a big pile of morphine.

I wasn't sure what had happened until just now, so I was kind of ready to pack a bag and run home from Dublin. Feel a lot happier now.
