Wow, get them and Underworld, and this is pretty much Coachella 2003 all over again, with a sprinkle of 1999 and 2004.
Yeah I been thinking they would get added too.
Hopefully they'll bump down the Arctic Monkeys
if you like the arctic monkeys, i refuse to listen to your opinion on what shows are good and bad. They are an awful band, and awful live. The Stooges aren't a super polished band, but they know how to have a good time and go nuts. Seen 'em twice, and had a blast both times.
damn skippy
No Las Vegas? Bullshit.

Anybody who doesn't like the Stooges live is either a comatose wanker, or 13.
I hope they bump the Chili Peppers down to that small tent.
if the stooges -and- bowie were added i would pass out.
arctic monkeys are shaping up to be the new franz ferdinand.
i like both bands, but they will both be remembered for their first albums and only for a few more years if they don't produce some good material.
the stooges would kill at coachella.
the performance in the doc made me so regretful for not going in 2003.
there are 2 sf dates.
19 and 21.
I'm from the north of England and I 'get' the Arctic Monkeys, in fact, I am certain I knew about them, and their catchy lyrics and guitar pop far before anyone else on here. I understand them and the rest of the country well enough to know that they came to fame by being around at exactly the right time and riding a huge wave of indie popularity. They're good fun and a lot better than most generic indie-pop music out there like the Kaiser Chiefs but not a patch on Iggy and the Stooges who still have more energy, stage presence and certainly better song than the Arctic Monkeys will ever have.
Can i get them and still not like them? Or are there strict rules about that sort of thing?
Next week - The Kooks, and why they are better than The Talking Heads!!!!
Nah, you're a cockney, you don't countJust thought it was worth explaining to our American cousins why Arctic monkeys mean nothing to them, just as I doubt goldie looking chain (who I think are rubbish, btw) or the streets mean anything to them.
I'd rather see the kooks than Iggy Pop, but then I'd rather amputate my own limbs with a blunt knife than see Iggy Pop. He might have been good thirty years ago but he sure as hell isn't any good now...Next week - The Kooks, and why they are better than The Talking Heads!!!!
I am interested in seeing Arctic Monkeys but if the Stooges are on at the same time I would skip the monkeys. I have seen the Stooges a few times and its always been fun. We don't quite have to worry about that conflict though as of today.
strict rules only apply when you're dealing with a snob.
do whatever you wish.
I saw Iggy Pop at distortion in Nottingham years ago and saw the Stooges at Leeds festival and they were great both times. Just because somebody doesn't like the arctic monkeys doesn't mean they don't get them.
i wouldn't be surprised if the stooges were added. Teddybears are playing on Sunday and Iggy Pop sings in their most popular song right now.
oh. and iggy pop>arctic monkeys
If you go anywhere and ask people if they know who arctic monkeys are..chances are, they won't. But if you ask if they know who the stooges or iggy pop is, chances are they will, and can possibly name a song.
"As for Iggy "fuck fuck fuck" Pop, get some tunes you pathetic sixty year old sex pistols impersonator."
yeah......................that doesn't even make sense.
American me also likes the Arctic Monkeys and their lyrics and will definitely catch them--saw Iggy last time he was at Coachella.
