It just occurred to me while eating that this is basically salsa. Peach salsa. Good thing I like salsa.

Imagining each of these salads stufffed inside of Dr. Lufs-al-ot father's bread is driving me crazy. This is badly messing with my head.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

    Here it is:

This cookbook is wonderful. I think you would like it.
I just picked this up at the library in hopes of reducing the number of barely edible food-esque products that make up the majority of my diet. I'm already a little intimidated, but it seems like a really good starting place since it's not just a recipe book.

The best part is how easy they have been (so far). No measuring; no heating.

    Salad #6 of 101

Mung bean sprouts, carrot and celery, tossed with soy sauce, sesame oil, minced chili pepper and a bit of sugar, topped with peanuts, mint, basil and cilantro

Technically, the carrots and celery are supposed to be grated instead of sliced, but I couldn't find the proper attachment for my food processor.

Thanks! Jicama reminds me a lot of a Korean pear. Sort of like a cross between an apple and a potato.

I looove jicama. It tastes like faintly sweet, woody water and it's got a nice snappy crunch.

Hemp Seed, is the seed of this plant

Which gets shelled, ( removes the outer casing layer thingy and so it cant germinate)

Thats a good picture of the seeds

    And it is ridiculously healthy

So pretty much it is shelled cannabis seeds, and cannabis seeds are super healthy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It goes great on yogurt with fruit or something like my lunch!

I feel like I have perhaps ingested hemp seed before as part of an acai bowl. I feel that it did not make much of an impression.

I remember working at Arby's as a kid and getting yelled at by some dude who supposedly failed a drug test due to the poppy seed roll he ate after my recommendation. He came back in a week later to find me and yell at me, although I really don't think there is enough in a poppy seed roll to dirty a UA but I was young and silly. I wonder if you would piss a dirty UA for eating hemp seed.

Good thing arts organizations never ever do drug testing. Relived to know that I went into the correct field for poppy seed bagel consumption.

It's true; us arts types like our poppy seed bagels. Preferably with lox, cream cheese, tomato and capers.

Sleeping rock, thanks for the hemp seed explanation. It was helpful. Do you make your own peanut sauce?

Courtney, your salad photos are amazing. The ingredients of the salads don't even all sound too appealing to me, but once I see the photos, i am sold
