"Lucid Dreams" is AMAZING!
If you're expecting a Franz by the numbers LP you'll be disappointed. A few songs fall back to their standard sound but this album has a lot more electronic elements than previous ones.

Yep, starts at around 4:50 into the song and it just gets very layered!
Also, right after the intro the drum build to the "meat" of the song is really awesome. The beat is very reminiscent of Adam and the Ants tribal beats to me.

I really like the single "no you girls" I think this album after a few listens is going to grow on us as we stop comparing it to previous albums...it will stand on its own. I felt the same way with "wincing the night away" by shins and EVERY beck album to date. Didnt like them as much as previous albums then started to love them.

So, where I work, there is this Ticker with a business feed of headlines from Bloomberg that continuously scrolls by right in front of my office. 99.9% of them are business and financial related.

Today, repeatedly, “Franz Ferdinand’s “Tonight” hits shelves” is scrolling by in the midst of “…announces huge job cuts…”, “…Pfizer to buy Wyeth…, “Dow Industirals is mixed….”, “Caterpillar…”

Clearly someone at Bloomberg is excited about what Franz Ferdinand’s new album will add to the economy.

The Amoeba show is the only thing I've been looking forward to this month, behind the lineup announcement. I hope they are playing somewhere else afterwards, but it doesn't appear that way.

Well, I think they usually kick everyone out like an hour before...yet I really don't know. Then everyone lines up on the side of the building. Not everyone gets in. It will be a real bummer if I am left stranded. I've seen them over 10 times, and met them once @ SDSU...so I should share the love, but I'm a greedy fan when it comes to my top 5 favs. Is the show really going to be @ 1p.m.?
