I have a gut feeling that she might be included in the lineup, which would be all kinds of awesome. Especially since her album was so praised at the end of the year. But if she isn't signed yet, what the hell are you waiting for GV?

NUMERO# - Gobi Tent 2009!!!!!!
she was at All Points West and loves playing Los Angeles area shows. I have seen her twice now, and she is amazing. I would love to see her in the Gobi.
anything could happen
she really is amazing - was anyone at that acoustic echo show?
hopefully she will be there - it makes sense
I saw her mini-acoustic show in SF, she was great. I would def watch her set at Coachella.
.
I was sure she would have been there last year.
Hopefully she'll be there this year.
Her album is awesome!
I could not stand that fucking Show Me Love song from back in the day but i like the new album.
"It's in the K" - Martha Stewart

September 26 // Vampire Weekend w/ Beach House & the Very Best @ Hollywood Bowl
October 5 // ARCADE FIRE @ Henry Miller Library
October 13 // Corin Tucker Band @ The El Rey

I like the "Konichiwa Bitches" remixes...
she did one at the echo? i went to the spaceland one, the one that was like 25 minutes long... i do like her live (also was at hotel cafe and troubadour shows) but she doesnt seem to play more than 40 minutes at anytime.... and at the troubadour she played the same song twice in the set.
i like her just have problems with her live performances being too short. btw my friend loves her and drags me along to all her shows...

i shoot all the shows you want to go to
if anyone should make up for her APW cancellation is Juana Molina
as predicted by nostradamus
I wouldn't be surprised at all to see her on the line up.
It'd be crazy if basement jaxx were at Coach too and Robyn played on the same day so she could join them for "HEY U" from the Crazy Itch Radio album.

the jaxx and robyn. But i'm kinda biased
here's HEY U for enquiring minds (while it technically was a single, there was no video made):
One of the female vocalists who tours with the Jaxx for the past 2 years actually performs the song live and does it well, but its just different (and does it with the help of Felix).

like, isn't this some minor pop star from 1996 that hasn't been heard from in...like 12 years? When did she suddenly become indie-friendly? Did she do the Madonna thing and throw some mildly interesting electronic beats behind her mediocre voice?
Ron Paul 2012!
Upcoming Shows:
Four Tet
Coachella 4/20-4/22
Death Cab for Cutie/Magik Magik Orchestra
Radiohead
some other bands
That's when.
..since she came out of no where with this awesome album n stuff.
Thanks for the video potvsktl.
I thought that was pretty cool actually, but nothing spectacular...I mean, isn't Uffie capable of the same performance? She's not singing, not playing, the music's pretty cool but not fantastic or anything. Maybe I'll give the album a listen.
I find it hard to believe so many people on this board have even given an album by Robyn a chance. Did Pitchfork hype it up or something? I'm not hating, I haven't heard it...just surprised. As I would be if Dream came out with a hip new album and everyone loved it. Remember Dream?

Yes, Pitchfork basically made her current career in the States.
I heard of Robyn through a friend who isn't really a Pitchfork reader.
In any case, I think you'll find it one of the best pop/electronica albums in recent years.
Nothing spectacular per-say, but just really good electro pop.
Trust me, Pitchfork is singularly responsible for her current popularity.
when i used to read pitchfork daily i would read about them jizzing all over her, and i thought what the fuck its this chick who had that fucking god awful song from the 90's where she thought she was some soul singer...
and i kept reading about her, and then one night i was at a friends house and subterranean was on and they showed the Konichiwa Bitches video and i thought it was cool. I thought wow this is the same pop music, but some "it" indie people are involved so that is why people allow themselves to admit to their true pop dreams.

Why surprised? Do you always rely on other people or websites telling you what is good or not? Even if Nickelback ever get around to releasing good music and I hear of it (not that I'm saying that there is even an iota chance that might happen, ever), I'll sure give it a listen and not act like a total close-minded douche who instantly disregard it because they at one time used to make horrible kiddie-rock-hybrid shit. Try expanding your horizons. Robyn is awesome because she actually released a great album of songs, and yes POP songs at that, oooooh how un-indie.
