Monklish has his list of bands that he "personally guarentees" will be at Coachella 2009. He says "I has sufficient knowledge that I trust these will occur, that is, I've been told that these have been making arrangements to attend the festival as contractually paid acts or clear evidence exists on the internet to confirm their attendance as a paid act."
I don't know whether to believe him or not, but these are his guarentees:
A Place to Bury Strangers

The Bug
Buraka Som Sistema
The Chemical Brothers
Crystal Castles

Drop the Lime
Evil Nine
Fleet Foxes
Franz Ferdinand

Hercules and Love Affair
The Hold Steady

I have no complaints about this list, because it looks awesome. But how credible do you think Monklish is? I know there is some sort of fued between him and this message board, but I figure that it's atleast worthwhile to check out his list. He also claims that David Byrne/Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, Jarvis Cocker, Oasis, Paul McCartney, Pulp, R.E.M., Simian Mobile Disco,
and The Smiths definitely will not be there.
