Facts

Jack has said that once he is done with the raconteurs he's gunna get back with meg to finish some recording.

Jack is (was?) nursing a slipped disc and has been quoted as saying he's doing lots of writing. WHAT he's writing is a mystery.

They have released a new record every two years for some time now, 2009 would mean a new album and they record in something like two weeks tops, and thats consider a long time for them

Other than that its all speculation, I need a few more facts before I can feel confident about seeing them at SOME POINT this year, but its looking good.

Yes, sorry, you are right, I thought their last shows were in June, I stand corrected. And for the record Meg had "acute anxiety" and this is not considered nutz or "nuts" by any means, alot of people have anxiety, especially these days, let's not make assumptions of the mental state of someone unless we know the facts. Meg White friggin' rocks, and I am sure she is doing much better then she was a year and a half ago. Let's hope she decides to play with Jack at Coachella and kick some serious ass.

Back when the media started asking Jack about how he would distribute his time between the racs and the stripes he pretty much said that when the racs aren't touring it will be a white stripes year. In 07 after the first racs tour (which ended at the end of the pervious year) they recorded in around march and planned to spend the rest of the year touring. So its pretty much inevitable.
