According to the main Saquatch site, the Dance/Comedy tent will be where the Wookie stage was last year, which means a lot room, and the possibility that the lines will not be there.

It shows the Wookie stage in the general area the Comedy Tent was last year, next to the Yeti stage. It also shows the Yeti stage facing the main stage, instead of facing the Wookie as it has in the past. It appears they are greatly expanding that area, in order to have the Yeti and Wookie next to each other. I thought there was a huge marsh behind the Comedy stage last year, so I'm interested to see how that is going to work. Hopefully the Wookie will not be a lot smaller than last year, since I plan on spending a lot of time there.

Damn, I'm pissed that the NIN and YYYs posters suck. Hopefully they have different ones at the gallery.

    That NIN poster is amazing.

Also, it will be interesting to see how this year is up.

ALSO, I really hope I can get a camping spot if I head up for Sunday.

Jeff Kleinsmith designed it, apparently he was/is the art director for Sub Pop.

Wow, MAJOR kudos to the livenation team that run Sasquatch. The overflow camping announcement really demonstrates they know what they're doing. Recognizing the logistic constraints of their location and working to accommodate their customers. Top notch.

Jeff, my understanding is that camping never does "sell out" there. They always do overflow camping when the demand is there. I have Seattle friends who've camped in overflow in many past years and whined that it felt like they were miles from the venue.

I was really impressed with Sasquatch and the Gorge last year. It was a really tighly run and well done festival. Only 2 complaints.

    1) The food. Fucking awful. Get some better vendors.

    2) Nothing to do if you are no watching bands. There are no mini-shops or art instalations or anything like that. If there are no bands on that you want to watch, their is nothing else to do besides look at the scenery or eat.

Other than that, fantastic festival. I really hope I am able to make it up. There is a very good chance I will be there Sunday and a slight chance I will be there Monday (but only for a half day).

Josh, did you miss the comedy tent? the lil house with gaming consoles? what do you mean "if you are not watching bands"?

I agree the food was pretty poor though.

Fack. These jerks need to up and book Radiohead so I have no excuse to skip this thing next year. Daft Punk will also suffice

The comedy tent line was always miles long.... by the time I would have gotten in, another band I wanted to see would be starting.

Also, I did have some fun in the gaming place for a while. My fiacee and I dressed up in costumes, that was pretty fun. It something you do once though, not a few times over the weekend.

Yeah, well, turns out I'm quite fickle.

Music related disposable income got analyzed and then Underworld announced a west coast mini tour. Let's not even go into Lolla. I'm like a crow going after the moment's shiniest object.

For the record I still posses a 3-day pass. I'm going to sell it to a friend this weekend for face value but still, purchased it the moment they went on sale.

Just won a bid on eBay for tickets to Monday. $49 CAD. Not too bad. Now I just have to figure out if I can get the time off work and acquire Sunday tickets...

I sent you a PM, but we're looking for someone to carpool with from the Seattle airport. We're getting in on Friday, but we could get a hotel and drive out on Saturday with whoever is going, if need be.

This goes to everybody reading, I suppose: if you're going from Seattle to the gorge, and would be willing to take on two extra people, we'd love you forever! We're two normal, laid-back post-college kids from San Diego trying desperately to work out our plan to get from the airport to the show, without paying $300 for a rental car.

If that falls through, does anybody else know of a good way to get from Seattle to the gorge? I'm not seeing any mention of buses or shuttles or anything on the Sasquatch site, so I'm trying to track something down.

As a last resort, Greyhound goes from Seattle to Quincy.
