If you're under the age of 25, that maybe true, if you're over the age of 25, the opposite is true...

& you won't convince me that Gorillaz have had more singles, just more videos (but since we're talking about an animated-visual band, that's bound to be the case, isn't it?)

Gorillaz -> Blur would be fucking EPIC!

but yeah, I would be shocked if Blur started their reunion comeback at Coachella... but i've also predicted that their first US show will be Coachella 2010

Coming from a site whose front page feature is "Celebrity Big Brother is Back," this doesn't mean all that much. It doesn't change the level of expectation I had of them being there at all.

Celeb Big Brother is a big deal in the UK. You can't run any sort of publication without covering it. It'd be like overlooking the SuperBowl here.

October 5 // ARCADE FIRE @ Henry Miller Library
October 13 // Corin Tucker Band @ The El Rey

Gorillaz had a popular song 5 years ago. Neither Blur nor Gorillaz would qualify as headliners in the States.

"Gorillaz had a popular song 5 years ago."

I don't think that's relevant. Gorillaz would draw a lot of people.

Uh. I assure you that it is relevant. How do you think Jack Johnson headlined last year? The average ticket buyer for Coachella is not the type of music fan on these boards. Never forget the power of the general public. Not saying Gorillaz wouldn't draw some people in, but no way shape or form could they be considered a headliner.

& how many hits did Portishead have in the states? oh that's right, it obv doesn't matter, so shut the fuck up...

btw, the Gorillaz had TWO popular songs in the U.S....hehe (and i would argue that Blur had 3-4 hits in the U.S.)

GV tried to make Portishead a headliner, but let's not forget that at the end of the day Portishead did not headline Saturday night. First GV moved Kraftwerk to make it look like a co-headline situation, and then Prince was brought on board, so thanks for the "shut the fuck up" comment, but my point remains.

I am not saying who is better, but who is a bigger draw really. I just dont see people flocking to see Blur.

Any time I saw them I do not recall it being sold out. (Which was the Palladium and the SB Bowl)

Plus I really dont think the Killers are a Coachella type of band. I just dont see it.

    another excellent article:

P Diddy made sure New York revellers got back from the ball safely on New Year's Eve by teaming up with City Taxi & Limousine Commission to give people free rides home.

Diddy said: "New York is the most iconic New Year's Eve city. Let's show everyone a holiday celebration doesn't end on the stroke of midnight, but when everyone gets home safely." Pimp my New Year or what...
Then I will hold you down and spit her percolations all over you until you're as greasy as the day she regrets pushing your big fat ass out her big fat cunt.

This newspaper is quite often wrong. I think this article makes it no more or less likely that they'll be there.

I'd like Blur to headline, seeing as that would give them a bigger time slot. Gorillaz has a new album coming out also. If Damon were to do a Gorillaz -> Blur, then I think that would be a good set-up for ticket sales, depending on how the rest of the day is.

But still, I don't know if Blur would start everything with Coachella. I'm sure they're all cool with Paul T and Goldenvoice. I mean, Blur has been to Coachella before, and The Good, The Bad, and The Queen were able to play their entire album in 2007; but Blur is such a British band. I can't see them making their first show in America.

I think this argument came up before and to that I said....Daft Punk...big French act that decided to make their pyramid debut at Coachella...

i hope you're right... i really, REALLY do...

but check the article, the only quote or source is this:
Our source says: "Coachella is huge."

wow, way to go out on a limb.

Don't fool yourself though...this article has been re written like 14 different times by all sorts of newspapers...I am just saying that Coachella has done some amazing things...and based on that if Blur did their 1st show there, I wouldn't be surprised...
