Chairman Meow started a really cool Twilight Zone thread called "Twilight Zone", but it didn't really catch on. It was visually appealing though. Anyway, is there going to be a Twilight Zone marathon on Sci-Fi for New Years? Don't they usually do this?

I have the complete series on my hard drive. I really enjoyed the pilot. Watching how they used to sell shows to the networks back in the day was pretty cool. Rod Serling did an excellent job. I haven't watched in a long time but it's what 156 episodes or something? It's like 28 dvd's.

Time Enough At Last... where the guy narrowly escapes a nuclear explosion in a bank vault and realizes that he is free of his cunt of a wife and can finally read for the rest of his life, but breaks his glasses at the library. that poor bastard.

One of my favorites was when they cut off all the power to a neighborhood except one house and how quickly the neighbors turned on each other thinking they were alians or evil or something. Human nature is a bitch was pretty much the moral of the story.

I just checked the Sci Fi channel schedule, and they will be running TZ episodes all day NYE and NYday.

A couple of my favorites of the original series include "Time Enough To Last" and "Living Doll". Check out the Wiki page for plot descriptions and episode guides.

It's hard to think up a favorite one. I like the one where that guy doesn't allow his neighbors in his vault. And the one with the bus and the little coffee shop with the Martian and the Venus guy. And the one where the airplane keeps jumping around in time. And the one with the monster on the airplane wing. And the one where they have the devil locked in a cabinet. And the kid who wishes things into the corn field. And the guy who wants to read all the books. And the one where they find out that the book is actually a cookbook. And the one where books are obsolete. And the one with the little robots that are actually people, and its the old lady who is the alien. And the one where the man gives his family masks. And the one where the "ugly" woman is actually beautiful to us, but is in a parralel universe of ugly people, and so they send her to a colony.

    Twilight Zone is the best.

Too many great episodes to choose.

I don't remember the name, but I love the one where the guy imagines a full escape from soldiers in the time it takes for the noose to tighten while he's being hanged.

Or the one with Peter Falk as a dictator who keeps seeing himself betrayed in the mirror.

Or where Mickey Rooney plays a disrespected jockey who wants to be big.

And the one where astronauts think they crashed on another planet and kill each other off until they realize they're just in a desert on Earth

Ooooh! Or the one where the guy becomes addicted to the slot machine! Such a great series! We have all the DVDS, plus all the books with synopses and back stories for all the episodes

Woah, I don't remember any of these. I'm going to keep an eye out for them on NYE and NY.

Another good one is that guy who is in a simulation of the world where he is the only human being left, but he doesn't know it's a simulation.

That's what I did about two years ago, before we got the DVDs. There would be two or three in a row sometimes, right? I don't watch as many anymore though, it just never comes to my mind to dig up the DVDs when I'm in the mood for a movie or something.

sometimes i'll put on one of my favourite episodes i keep on my dvr before bed, but it's been awhile since i've watched too. you almost have to forget about them to re-watch or the impact isn't the same.

i used to love when a new guy would come to my house and i'd let him scroll through the dvr while i got drinks. i almost always came back to the guy saying "so, i guess you like the twilight zone, eh?"

The simulation one is good. I think he sees a mannequin in a car and runs over to it thinking its a woman and he starts talking to it. I forget what else happens.

I also like the one where the guy drives into that town where they have those machines to make whatever they want, and they don't allow him to leave with that invisible barrier, and he wants to steal their machines and ingredient sheets.

Damn. I clearly need to watch more episodes. I don't recall many of those. I like the one where several people are trapped in a cylindrical room with no roof, and they find out they are....wait, I don't want to spoil it.

the first half hour of the twilight zone movie is really hard to watch considering the story behind it.
