this is kinda random and pointless, but all this makes me think of marylin monroe for some reason.

had marylin been around today, i wonder if she would have received the same adoration from the public. my dad talks about how "back in the day", the media had more respect for public figures (for whatever reason) and didn't report EVERYTHING like they do today.

it just seems like anna might not have been AS crazy if she had a more private life. or maybe she would have been just as crazy, we just wouldn't have been exposed to it and we would have seen her differently.

i mean, i'm sure marylin had lots of crazy outbursts we never heard about due to her excessive pill usage. i know gable said it was hard to work with her in the end too.

i don't know, i don't feel bad for her because of her fame, i'm just think it's interesting how the publicity affected her life...

lol, like i said, i only know the "candle in the wind" part. i don't think i've ever sat down and listened to that song. it's just one of those songs i've heard while shopping or waiting to get my teeth cleaned.

and yeah, now we've heard tons about marylin's life NOW, but it seems to me it wasn't broadcast during her life like it would have been today. we would have seen tabloid after tabloid of her stumbling out of night clubs and such.
