Having been to Austin City Limits and Bonnaroo, I've been told that Coachella is a completely different world in all aspects of a music festival. What's the safety like/how does it compare to the other two festivals?

As hilarious as that whole 'What Happen If Someone Makes a Crime' thread was a while ago, if anybody could help with the actual question, that would be great.
Thanks. Bonnaroo and ACL are safe, kinda southern/laid back. An 'I'll go my way, you go yours' sort of deal. I haven't spent alot of time in California, so I'm not sure what to expect as far as the general personality of the place.
I wouldn't let my hypothetical 11 year-old daughter roam around without supervision at Coachella.
But it should be safe enough for any adult with modicum of common sense. Biggest concerns are probably sunburn, dehydration, blisters on your feet, and the like.
Oh and if you're near the very front of the main stage, you may get crushed.
It's as safe as you want it to be.
watch out for hipster cigarettes.
Chicken pot, chicken pot, chicken pot piiiieeeeeeeee!
pff non smokers always bitching about us
man up
Then don't litter and I won't bitch. Stepping on a burning smoke with bare feet sucks. But yeah, 2 billion+ cig butts thrown on the ground each day in the world adds up. I smoked for years, I quit about two years ago so I know how it is. You have the right to smoke, but don't be an asshole.
should I throw them in a garbage can and burn down the polo fields would that make you happy
It's a desert I'm sure it wouldn't take much
btw I always make sure to put out my cig butts and for the most part pick them up but if I see you coldstart you're gettin 1 in yo John Kerrys
I'm with stink on this one. If you're going barefoot, first of all, you're on your own. Second, after a certain point on Friday, I stop being concerned about picking up my cigarette butts after my state of mind changes and, also, I see tons on the ground already.
What are the expectations here anyway? It's an outdoor music festival, there's going to be smokers and cigarette butts (and plenty of other trash on the ground), why go barefoot?
I think its stupid to walk around barefoot because of the high risk of stepping on something, but I still think smokers shouldn't be so careless. Not just at Coachella, but everyday. In fact, I would be more accepting of someone throwing their cig butts on the ground at coachella, because it seems like there is a better chance that it would be picked up at night/after the fest. But I hate seeing cig butts when Im just walking down the street.
also I dont hear you bearfooters complain about people stepping on your toes which hurts much worse if you ask me
That is so true. It hurts enough and I wear sturdy shoes. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to have someone jump right on your bare foot. *shudders*
