^ that would also be no, they will play the sahara
Yeah, it's a major give away. I was actually on Ticketweb.com buying tickets the April 16th show and I thought to myself...."Wait a minute:Coachella is a couple weeks early and this is exactly the formula for bands playing at Coachella. They almost always play shows 1 or two days before or after IN SAN FRANCISCO. It's such a perfect indicator. I knew it so I didn't get tickets for the SF show. I just love The Presets! They're one of my "OMG I need to see!!!" bands of the year.
Presets are playing the Metro in Chicago April 8th....just enough time to play Coachella on the US tour.
Many of the Coachella greats have played Chicago right before Coachella...LCD SS, Hot Chip, Cut Copy, etc..

^^ Did you even look at the tour dates? There in SF the day before Coachella. That's more of indicator that they will be there than freakin' chi town.
Yeah, this is why we have that ''confirmed acts'' thread right?
This is true and I hate it. Chicago is the closest place (for the most part) to travel for me to see just about any good show. It's an expensive little trip though, and Coachella gets all my $/attention in April, so I have to nix these shows. But I justify it by telling myself I'll see them at Coachella.
Inevitably, conflicts prevent me from seeing a couple and I kick myself for missing the Chicago shows. But what can you do, y'know? Set times come out too late to plan in advance.
Is Coachella the only festival to wait forever to release set times? I don't know about Bonnaroo but I love that Lolla lets you know early...
