Thread: The Hold Steady - Spring Tour Ends just In Time!

Default The Hold Steady - Spring Tour Ends just In Time!

The Hold Steady have announced a fresh run of dates for April in support of their 2008 album Stay Positive. The band will start on the East Coast and work their way across the US before wrapping up April 15th in Sacramento, CA. Coachella speculators should take note that this final date of the tour happens to be taking place two days before the start of the annual festival. Take that for what you will.

Has this been posted yet? If so, my apologies.

I hope they dont play they are horrible. Yes I have seen them. They toured with Art Brut and I tried to stomach them but it was to no avail. Craig Finn was much better in Lifter-Puller.

From their tour schedule it looks like it's pretty obvious that they'll play. I mean, tour ends April 15th in Sacramento?

The only band worse I could think of that everyone likes now is Gaslight Anthem. I left a couple songs into Hold Steady if they are on a festival i guess that is cool cause I can go to another stage and watch them but they were the headliners and they didnt impress me. Sorry.

Are you insane? The Hold Steady are one of the better live bands out there. Craig Finn is just about the most entertaining frontman you could hope to see.

Like I said I was a fan of Lifter-Puller I gave The Hold Steady a chance on record and live twice. Boring not my cup of tea. You can't do much more than that.... Twice live

To say that The Hold Steady is boring live is completely insane. You may not like their music, but they are so far from "boring" live. Fantastic live band if you ask me, but I happen to like their music too. And it's about time they play Coachella!

To each is his own!!! To you they may be energetic but they were boring to me. Plus headling over Art Brut if you have never seen them well. Hold Steady got blown out of the water by a bunch of energetic lads and lasses from the U.K.

Love Art Brut as well. That was a fantastic tour.

The Hold Steady are one of the best live acts I've ever seen. I've seen them 5 times now. Are you allergic to fun, or awesomeness?

    04.07 - Iowa City, IA - Picador

This is awesome. There will be only like 200 people at this, it's the perfect small, grimy bar for them to play. I love it when a good band makes pit stops at the Picador, rarely happens.

And in no way are The Hold Steady boring. Come on.
