Our good friend Erik is going to mature, like a good chia pet, before our very eyes in this thread.

With a hair cut and shave, he looks boyish...but give him long locks and a fuzzy face and the dude becomes your father.

In this thread he will provide a weekly photo of himself and also discuss random occurences in his life and, hopefully, a look into his diet.

He hasn't agreed to this, but I know he will do it because he's one of the most dependable board members on the planet.

So, Erik....please feel free to give us your opening comments and a current photo of yourself. I know there are a lot of new people here but, as we've seen in the past, everyone learns to love you (just no discussing Radiohead/Depeche Mode and lunar landings).

Um ok, but it will have to wait until tonight. I'm at school and don't get out til 4pm, and won't be home for another hour and a half after that. Maybe I'll shave again tonight, so I can start clean.

Recent Pic and update later tonight

Ok I really dislike taking pics of myself first off, but once or twice a week I think I can handle. Now of course the pics are to track my growth of hair/beard (or lack thereof), so I know you might complain the background in this first pic is a little dark, but gimme a week to get comfortable or something.

Anyway, this pic is based off a shave that was three days ago (I use a mach3 turbo), and my last haircut was Jan. 21st of this year. Usually when I'm clean shaven, have short hair, and am in good light, I get mistaken for being a 15 year old.



As far as my diet habit went today, well um....this morning I had three Oreo cookies and a glass of milk. Then I munched on some cheeze-it crackers during my film history class, then at about 4pm I chomped down a snickers candy bar (just regular size). I had a small glass of coke when I got home (out of a 2-liter), and for dinner (while watching the new season of Survivor), I'll be having some grilled chicken, a side of rice (topped with soy sauce), and some broccoli.

I also started my lab monitoring shift at school today, in which I just sit there for three hours (1-4) and sign people in/out. I thought it was gonna be really boring, but this new girl ended up coming in (she's a monitor during my shift as well), and we chatted it up for about 2 hours or so. She actually was at Coachella last year too! She worked in some tshirt booth (near the virgin tent), so she missed Daft Punk, but it was cool to talk about that with her.

We also hit up topics of films (obviously), live music and bootlegs (right up my alley), Nirvana (again, up my alley), public transportation, and a few other things. Not bad I guess...

3 days since last pic...



See, no difference.

I honestly can't remember everything I've eaten over this past weekend, but I know it hasn't been much, and wasn't very exciting. I remember having a ham sandwich with mustard, mayo, lettuce, cheese slice on some wheat bread. I had some pasta and chicken last night for dinner, with a gatorade. Though I prefer Vitamin Water over gatorade. My favorite vitamin water I think is the Peach-Mango flavor. In fact, I collect those vitamin water labels...I wanna try get one of each flavor and variety. Some are harder to find than others (like cran-grape).

Here are the ones I've tried:

and here are the ones I still need to try:

(and I think a couple other tea flavors).

Some of them are hard to find though...I've never seen defense anywhere, and only came across the lemon-lime (rescue) recently. I'm gonna keep trying though.

1) this could turn out to be the best thread ever.
2) Regarding the vitamin waters: my personal favorite is Formula-50, with the least palatable being the one that tastes like lemonade (horrible aftertaste). Which one is the Peach-Mango flavor? I can't say that I recall trying it. Which is your least favorite?

The Peach-Mango is the 'endurance' one. My least flavor would be 'Formula-50' of the ones I've tried. I only had it once, but I remember not liking the after taste.

Rescue is green tea and Stress B is lemon-lime. I did have to look it up. I'm pretty sure Formula 50 was my favorite. I haven't tried all of them either. I remember being dissapointed in with it when I tried it.

Has anyone tried the green tea frap at starbucks? That shitty is bomb.

I like Formula 50 much more than the others. But they're almost all good.
