    Default Who popped your cherry?

    Musically that is!

Who was the first act you saw live?

Mine was Siouxsie and the Banshees - Edinburgh Playhouse, JuJu Tour - August 1981.
Support that day came from the weird and wonderful Linton Kwesi Johnson and his dub reggae poetry!

    Mike Oldfield, 1983 in Germany.

Smoked hash with him and Maggie in their Winnie after the gig.

It would have been the Stones during their Tatoo You Tour in '81, but my mom wouldn't let me go because she thought I'd get killed

The Travelling Wilburies! I was about 7 years old, accompanying my parents.

First concert I ever chose to go to was Michael Jackson.

My parents took me to a Go Go's show in 1982 but I don't count it.

I saw Tiny Tim in between the Go Go's and Fugazi. I had no idea who Tiny Tim was.

Tiffany at Busch Gardens when I was 6 or 7...yikes. My first concert of choice was Bush/Goo Goo Dolls/No Doubt, which is probably worse.

Belly with opening act Radiohead (who I was going for) in 1993. Small theatre in St. Louis ... great show. That's the first show I bought tickets for and wanted to go to. I think Taylor Dane played our boy scout rally in 1990.

Adam Sandler - Radio City Music Hall 1995, this was before I was really musically inclined.

After that I think it was the Smashing Pumpkins at MSG. It's been all uphill from there as I've been to many wonderfull shows.

Juan Luis Guerra Y los 440 at like 7-8.

Popular, but still probably the most creative merengue/bachata singer.

He made all the little kids jump on stage for the closer and sing the chorus with him, which by the way translates into: "I hope it rains coffee in the farmlands."

I faintly remember seeing Bush in middle school, also.

Ian Brown in 2001. Think I just turned 13.
Wanker never played any Stone Roses, but he's comfortable doing it now. Arse.

Pretty sure I saw the singing kettle when I was about 8, which counts just as much as people saying the Spice Girls....

Anyone else open this thread hoping to find who the whores were? I'm looking at you Randy

I remember going to see The Shirelles with my parents when I was 6 or 7. My first concert of choice was going to see Kiss in 1992 when I was 11. It was without the makeup, which made it much less cool, but whatever.

My first concert was Foreigner in about 1985, and I chose to go to that one. I also saw Powerstation about this time (they had already booted Robert Palmer and replaced him with Michael Des Barres). I'm surprised I ever went to a concert again.

    Scandal was the opening act.

    hahahah.. Foreigner.

My first show was an outdoor thing at a football stadium. April Wine, Uriah Heep, Foreigner, and Bob Seger. This was 1978, I was 16. Uriah Heep rocked.
