I have had this same problem before, as well as now, with compilations

Right click the song and go to 'get info'. Under the 'info' tab there will be a spot to put the track number, i.e. 358 of 500. You will have to do this with a majority of the songs from what I can tell by the few I just checked.

Also, make sure the 'part of a compilation' box is checked.

this has worked for me in the past. Not sure I am willing to try it for all 500 songs though.

this is true if he's got them all labeled as the same album. if he has them in a playlist though it shouldn't matter I don't think?

That is the thing. I was trying to find a way without editing the track numbers for all 500 tracks.

Sweet Jesus let there be another way.

Honestly, I think the only way is to go through and manually number them. iTunes cannot recognize the 001 or whatever in front of the first track in the folder 1 - 50.

for me, for some reason, when I have this, almost always it's an "album artist" issue.

In other news, here is a review for Snow Leopard. I couldn't find the actual thread that MJA had started, so I figure this is an appropriate place.

Hey so I am on a borrowed machine because my laptop hard drive died. (fortunately it gave me warning so I was able to get everything I needed off of it first).

This borrowed machine has a Bing search window in the upper right corner where I always had my Google search. After 2 and a half days I have concluded that Bing sucks. Too many false hits.

Also, this Seagate external hard drive works very smoothly. very nice.

    Okay, I give up! #@!%^&$!!!!!
I've got a video I did on Movie Maker that wouldn't upload to YouTube due to being the wrong file. According to Windows Media Player, I did convert it to the correct file and would like to now attempt to put it on You Tube again...Am I so retarded that I'm not seeing how to export it from media player, or am I blind, or am I just getting so frustrated that IO probably have like 43 copies polluting every corner of my PC??? $#@%^&!!!
    WTF???????

Anyone use the Netflix Watch Instantly service? What do you think of it? I got a new dvd player that makes it available. Are the videos HD?

I'm not a current Netflix member. I just order movies from Comcast OnDemand because I like to be able to get HD movies. I think I could save money using the Netflix streaming service.

I got the Logitech Squeezebox for Christmas and it rocks. I put it in the bedroom where we have no stereo.

Through Wifi, it streams pretty much all internet radio stations, accesses your entire music library on your PC, and lets you use (~25) ‘Aps’ to access the likes of Pandora, Slacker, etc… Full color screen shows album of whoever is playing (in your library or online) and it was very easy to set up. Cool alarm settings let you wake up to any internet radio or playlist.

@ $200, it's a little pricy, but it's one of the cooler devices I've seen come along in some time.

Not sure if they are HD. My internet is slow enough (768/128k) I am lucky to just get the thing to stream at all. They do a little better than Hulu, but I get some of the pausing or glitches. When they first started it, if you had a slow connection they would buffer the whole thing, but now it just streams. Only some of the movies are available for streaming.

A good chunk of the watch instantly stuff is in HD. It's pretty bangin' when it is. Beware if you have bandwidth caps on your internet though. They end up being like 3gbs per video.

I certainly pay enough for the shit that it shouldn't be capped, but I have no idea if it is.

Good points, and thanks for the replies.

I am quite a fan of Instant. They add new things with relative frequency, and with the exception of a few small glitches every now and then, it works pretty consistently. I used to cancel Netflix on and off according to my financial situation and available free time, but since the addition of instant I haven't been able to let go.

I love Netflix Instant. I would have to watch a whole lot more movies/TV than I do to run out of things to watch.

We subscribed to Netflix last month, now that it can be streamed through the PS3 (you need a separate disc that you get for free from Netflix). Supposedly, Sony will have a firmware update later this year that will allow you to stream minus the disc. We like it a lot. HD looks pretty good for the most part - a little glitchy now and again when our bandwidth drops (we have DSL through ATT).

On another note, FedEx just delivered our new printer. Yay. We had an Epson 1270 that lasted 10 years. I'm hoping this 1400 will do the same. Love them Epson photo printers.

Hmmmm. Okay now. UPS just delivered 2 gigs of RAM I didn't know we ordered. 1litro is up to something.

I don't get why PS3's need a disc but the Xbox360 was just able to do it one day. Odd, odd stuff
