Book these guys for Coachella NOW, Mr. Tollett.
Idk in the article it says UK fans should look forward to further dates... It would be nice if the only US show they played would be Coachella but I guess were gonna have to wait and see
I don't know that their first reunion date would be Coachella...but it'd be nice.

but that last part is just to fuck with us.After much dilly-dallying, Blur have FINALLY confirmed that they are indeed reuniting, for real this time. Damon Albarn, Alex James, Dave Rowntree, and, yes, Graham Coxon will take the stage for a concert at London's Hyde Park on July 3, 2009. This will be their first full-lineup performance since 2000.
In a video interview on their site (email/mobile info necessary), the band says the reunion rehearsals have been like "putting the A-Team back together" and "like riding a bike."
No other future plans have been announced yet, but we wouldn't be surprised if a Coachella set was in the cards...
and it really really really could happen....
since Killers are headlining friday, is blur big enough to be a sat/ sun headliner or I wonder if theyd be a sub
Stevie Wonder, Jurassic 5!!, Magnetic Man, Pogo, Tycho, Tears for Fears 2013
Coach 06,07,08,09,10,11,12,13(1)
Sasquatch 12
Lolla 11(Chile)
VOODOO 11
Street Scene 07,08,09
Rock the Bells 07
Yeah, I saw them in 92, 97, 99 (Reading Festival!), and 03. I think the Blur show I saw in AZ in 03 was my "solace" show for not being able to go to Coachella that year, and I guess I lucked out that they were GREAT here and shitty at Coach (from what people say). I actually didn't realize how many times I'd seen them live until I thought it out just now.
Blur is not my favorite band by any means, but they are a lot of fun live, and I used to enjoy the Elastica connection (ha) since Damon used to date Justine of Elastica way back when. (I used to go fucking nuts for Elastica)
Blur would be a much bigger headliner than the Killers... and arguably as big, if not bigger, reunion act as Portishead (who was a headliner)... the only way they'd be a sub is if they had a legend (i.e. Prince, Bowie, Smiths, Zep, etc.) on the same day...
fuck i hate you...
I agree that Blur is a bigger reunion act than Portishead, but I'm not sure they have the popularity in the States to headline Coachella. Gorillaz could headline over Blur, I think. In the UK, it's a different story.
Also... I'm not hating on Blur. I would love to see them... just sayin.
