We got Dark Side last year, so how about Abbey Road.

The Dark Side of the Moon was an actual tour that Waters had been doing for years....I doubt any headlining band is gonna come to Coachella to specifically perform one album or some one off thing.

Jesus Christ you know about that album too. Definitely Sahara material.

Abbey Road concert would be really sweet, however I think a lot of people would be upset that each member of the band wasn't there. Roger Waters could get away with touring solo because people generally recognize him as representative of the entire band considering he was the only voice most of the time, at least for Dark Side of the Moon. HOwever since each of the Beatles are so iconic in and of themselves it would be somewhat lackluster to me to just replace them with a session band. However it would probably sell a shitload of tickets regardless so it could work. I would just be wary.

And Radiohead playing Jack Johnson material and in turn showing him up brutally with new renditions would be an epic slap in his face.

no George. no Abbey Road. no John. no Abbey Road. no Ringo. no Abbey Road.

Paul can't even do his medley because it requires two Lennon sung tracks. I've Got a Feeling is very hard to take in live because one of Macca's guys sings John's part.

still, a Paul McCartney appearance would top Waters AND Prince. yep, i said it.

while i almost agree with you, i then think of Brian Wilson doing the (partly, mostly?) beach boys Smile and although i didnt get to see the tour, everyone that did that i have seen write about it, said it was awesome ....i have seen sir paul in a number of incarnations (beatles, wings, solo) and i would like to see him again for sure ... cr****

I caught the SMiLE tour and it was pretty incredible. However the thing is that album was Brian Wilson's pet project for the longest time. The band rejected it and it became his so for all intents and purposes, he is the only artist necessary for that tour. Abbey Road's different because of the necessary voices needed for some of the most iconic songs. Especially parts of the medley.

i'd prefer a greatest hits set from Mccartney...

the reason Waters tours under the 'DSOTM' banner, is because he's not legally allowed to tour under the name Pink Floyd, and too many people are like, "Who the fuck is Roger Waters", as we realized last year when all the newbies and people under 20 saw the lineup... Dark Side of the Moon is almost as recognizable a name as Pink Floyd...
