does bonnaroo do this every year?
they did it two years ago. they didn't do it last year.
so we save $40. hmm. I think I'll wait. I've been bitten in the past by hurrying to save small amounts of money.
also these aren't VIP tickets are they? I think if I went to bonnaroo I 'd want VIP. you need VIP to get the shuttle directly from the airport to the camp grounds and skip the 4 hours of traffic, right?
I've never done VIP but I've talked to several people that have and they all said that it's a huge waste of money. Considering how much fun it is without VIP, it makes more sense to spend all of that extra money elsewhere.
A friend did VIP last year and she said food was included (not this year), but the shuttle to/from the airport was not included in the VIP ticket/package -- it was a $60 r/t thing she paid separately.
But I saw this on the general FAQ section:
Will you be providing any shuttles to/from the airports?
There will be an organized shuttle service from the Nashville airport. Please go to the travel info section on the Bonnaroo website for more information on airport shuttles to the event.

It'd be so weird/awesome to have Bonnaroo tickets before Coachella. If I can get them now, it would make worrying about Coachella funds so much easier

Also, they had a payment plan at Stagecoach this year.
And yes! I only went to Bonnaroo once. And I went VIP. I can't imagine not going VIP.
The shuttle from the airport, the closer camping, the upgraded bathrooms, the upgraded showers, the food that is included with the ticket price almost any time of the day, the easy access from camping to the main stage, the cheaper beer and water, and the first night there was a welcome party with free beer and soda!
It was awesome!
I don't think all that is worth the extra $450 per ticket.
