Catpn, i've always thought he was insecure. That's usually the case with us attention whores. He puts on crazy shows to mask his insecurities. He constantly and desperately says "come on everybody" before and after every single song because he's obsessed with being accepted by every last person. He bites back because he's so protective of what he has created with his band. Just my opinion of course as an amateur psychologist and sometimes insecure person heh. Now lets put on some suits and rock out to Arcade Fire! Festive rock!
As far as the dress up request goes I can see fun in all of it. Go to the goodwill store and buy some crap with your friends .... or don't. If I like the band then and i'm going to play ball if it sounds like fun. If I don't want to dress up I won't but I won't lash out at them for trying something like this. If a little request makes you all angry then don't do it. Why start attacking their character and calling them names just because you don't want to play dress up?
It doesn't make any sense to me that people would get up in arms about a festive request that isn't mandatory. This does prove that their biggest fans might be the biggest douchebags if one little thing like this makes them all revolt and attack them.

Thank you Arcade Fire for making me tear up this morning
That's such a beautiful video.
Don't forget about this handy database of inspiration all our LA friends help compile
I was pretty stirred the first time I heard the studio version of the song; Regine's "could you see me?" counter-melody in the second verse is essentially the same emotion illustrated by the video.
Has Spooks been in here yet to tell us all how the video for Neighborhood #3 was so much better?
November 18 - Slayer
November 19 - eyehategod
December 4 - Behemoth
January 30 - Behemoth
February 3 - Zola Jesus
February 6 - Sleep
The beginning of the video is filmed right at the intersection of Moorpark and Tujunga in Studio City. Tripped me out a bit seeing something familiar. I agree though, really good video.
Agreed, gorgeous video.
And...just purchased for August's show. Yeah, I'm a little anxious.
With Reflektor, I like to give myself a little intermission between sides.
Arcade Fire were amazing last night. I look forward to when they start adding 'Porno' to the setlist though.
Yeah about an hour, no encore.
It wasn't the full My Body Is A Cage, the concert just started with Win in the middle of the crowd singing the first part. Very cool though.
The Reflektor songs sounded so much better live, Oracle had the guitars and bass sounding heavy and clear.
Arcade Fire just confirmed Glastonbury on their Facebook. If the post is taken down ill post a picture.

"ain't no thang but a chicken wang"
Oh really? I'll have to listen to Neon Bible this weekend because I've only listened to it a couple times. Although, I have played "My Body Is A Cage" about a ten thousand times.

The Unforgettable Fire: Can Arcade Fire Be the World's Biggest Band?
Unlike, say, U2 – who might receive a $50 million advance but never see another penny from record sales – Arcade Fire pay for everything upfront. Reflektor, for instance, cost $1.6 million to make, according to Rodger – a hefty increase over the $500,000 they spent on The Suburbs. But because the band doesn't outsource much to its record company – the tiny indie label Merge – it also gets a much bigger cut of the profits. As Rodger says, "We wanted to figure out a way to sell a million records, but get paid like we sold 4 million. And we did."Read more: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/ne...-band-20140116But when I jokingly ask if he wants to confirm or deny that he's a gigantic dork, Butler rolls his eyes. "Whatever," he says, his voice dripping sarcasm. "I'm a superdork because I play with David Bowie. Bruce Springsteen wants to cover my songs because I'm such a dork. I'm not a dork," he says earnestly. "I'm a fucking rock star.
