No, I've been, I just don't like to see other people being excluded.

This is my thought too. 2004 was my first year because the lineup was extraordinary, and then I loved the experience and kept on coming back. But I doubt I would have decided to go to 2005 based on lineup, if I had not already experienced Coachella the year prior.

2005 was such a great surprise. The line up could not match the stellar status of the year before, but it was the first Coachella that totally clicked. The organization worked beautifully and going from stage to stage was never so smooth. The shade areas were becoming more plentiful even as the weather was the nicest for a Coachella. Arcade Fire emerged and Bauhaus killed. One of the hardest conflicts turned into a wonderful split with MIA and Kasabian. 2005 was excellent.

I really should have just gone in 05 like I was planning that lineup was gorgeous but some of those conflicts would have been just awful.

I'm pretty sure Arcade Fire single-handedly turned 2005 from a good weekend to a great weekend.

the main reason we went in 2005 was because my wife really wanted to see Coldplay and it was her 1st Coachella...but Arcade Fire really did make the weekend..it was the 1st time I had really heard their music...
