I just noticed that...seems odd to have a DJ act on the main stage, but I'm not too familiar with Tiesto.

Perhaps he has something in his contract along the lines of "no lower than Headliner in the Sahara, pre-headliner on the Outdoor stage, or 3rd billing on the main stage"

I actually kind of like the "techno act on the main stage to close things out at the end of the night" scheduling.. like they did with Chemical Bros after Bjork a few years ago. It's a good way to relax a little at the end of the day, and it also makes some people leave early, so rather than have *everyone* leaving at midnight, some people start taking off a bit earlier.

I would not be surprised it his show is similar to his last big tour, complete with Kodo Drummers, flamingo dancers, midgets (sorry, no Stonehenge) and trapeese performers along with a pretty amazing light set-up.

But they are not "DJ Acts". Especially The Prodigy.

As I said, I don't know anything about Tiesto, so maybe my perception is wrong. But a DJ...especially Trance...is very different than the show someone like Prodigy , Crystal Method, or Basement Jaxx puts on.

I think the theory on scheduling will be Arcade Fire at sunset, RHCP after and Tiesto closes out the main...... If that happens people wil have a choice between Tiesto or whoever is the Sahara headliner...

My choice is Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin or ORBITAL.(yes I know another reunion, but who cares)
