anyone going to that toronto gig? me and a few friends are seriously considering.. the kool haus is a pretty nasty venue
I'm sure as hell going.
I actually kind of like the kool haus. it's nice and small, three bars, sometimes has a 19+ area, and the sound is half decent (although not nearly as good as sound academy's newest rig). but the prodigy in there...
okay.
think about the prodigy playing at reading, t in the park, glastonbury... and now look at the size of this club:
I'm jealous of you mates. I'm begging for a DC date... I need one!
Ok gang, I've got an update for everyone.
I just called the Rocket Science office and spoke to someone about The Prodigy's tour this year, heres whats up:
The only US dates we'll see in March are the NY and Miami shows. They were supposed to play at SXSW, but it has been canceled.
They are going to be doing a larger US tour around September at the earliest, and we should be hearing more info about it in April or May.
So, there you have it.
Way to be proactive betao, but that is a bummer we'll have to wait until the fall. Are you gonna drive to NY now?... I would if I were you.
.
Mattyboy, I'm a broke ass and I flew to Chicago to see Beck (play two nights!!). You HAVE to see them in NY

seriously forks, what is wrong with The Prodigy? I mean they have pretty much been forgotten about in the States besides the few of us who actually follow closely what is happening in music. They have a great new album coming out and the summer music festival scene here would be an amazing opportunity to show that this band is still relevant and better than ever. Play Coachella. Play Ultra. Play Bonnaroo (opening for NIN OMG!!!) Play Lolla!!!.
Are they not being invited to the major festivals? Do they not want to play festivals? They are huge in Europe. Why wouldn't they do a massive tour in the States when the album comes out while everyone is still excited and then tour Europe? They know that they will sell out all over in Europe. I'm just trying to figure out the reasons for the way they choose to do things over here. Last time it was the same thing. Played Coachella, maybe another date or 2 and then came back a year later and barely sold out small clubs.

Probably because they will spend the summer playing European festivals.

Well, they are already confirmed to play Isle Of Wight in June, so that is probably true.
They are still crazy not to hit the west coast at all around their album release.
.
It just seems like a bad idea not to hit The States hard when the album is released. They should be beating our skulls with this thing, not waiting 5 months when everyone is broke from the summer and off everyone's radar.
