If The Killers headlined a night of Coachella 09?

I really shouldn't have left out the "leave early" option, it sounds waaaay harsh.

Well, for those that read this, I hereby change Option #3 to "I have no or almost no interest in seeing The Killers playing Coachella."

But knowing GV they would probably understand that alot of people would not want the killers, so would allow more options. Kinda like JJ this year.

You're up to four. I think their first album is decent, but nothing has done it for me since. Personally, I think that people are forgetting the point of the headliner, which is to drive ticket sales. Like it or not, people like them and buy their albums, and I could see them filling the Friday spot, which has not impressed me either year, so far.

They wouldn't be booked for the Saturday or Sunday headlining slots, which should be filled by much larger names.

I don't think it's insane. If The Killers are headlining, and nothing else is good, sure, I would leave early. Parking is a bitch at this festival, I would rather avoid being stuck for an hour or more than watch a shitty band play mostly shitty songs.

I chose the 2nd option. I enjoy the Killers. Knowing Coachella, there'll probably be someone better playing at the same time, but if not, i would rather watch the Killers than leave early.

Alright, out of 60 votes:
5 would see them
15 might see them if there is nothing better
40 would under no circumstance see them

So if there is 60,000 people (According to statistics) only 5,000 will for sure be there, and I would add another 10K from the second option just to be safe. That is a ridiculously low number of people for a headliner...

Note though, this is all based on the opinion of this board. The opinion of the general Coachella public is probably different, and there is also the factor of people who would not normally attend but just love the killers...

those number sound about right for jack johnson this past year

seriously, the crowd watching him was less than 15,000 for sure. to be perfectly honest, if you think about how the crowd is shaped like a semi-circle, and take itno account how each 25 feet of crowd depth represents a smaller number the closer to the stage you get, I'd estimate that there were a maximum of 10,000 watching him. it was embarassingly small. the verve, gogol bordello, my morning jacket, all had bigger crowds than jack johnson
