I don't know Salah. That Sea Change graphic seems like the kind of thing that would be really difficult to translate well into tattoo as a medium.
But hey, on an unrelated note, I'm highly amused by this:

...And now I do too.

i find portraits usually turn out shitty. even if you go to a renowned specialist, the aura is missing and it freaks me out.
i would be very very weary of a sea change tattoo.
Meow.Meow..Meow...
Chef tattoos are great. That Kitchenaid is spectacular. I also enjoy what's going on with Daxton's lower half.
I agree with everyone on the chef tattoos, and agree with Hannah on Daxton's tat. I personally think it's amazing as is and doesn't need color, but it would be interesting to see it with color.
As far as the chef tattoos go, it's simple, but I love the salt shaker.
Really, really faint color would do a lot to separate the blossoms from the branches, though. I guess it depends on whether or not she want the elements defined as separate entities. I also like it a lot as-is and would have trouble making up my mind.
Got my latest tattoo a few months ago in Bangkok. The Thais are pretty handy with a needle.
Spiral out....
Fucking love that pig. I have a chef friend who used that for his cook out party flyer.
Hey, thanks.
Ugh. I'm so undecided. I love line drawings and usually am not a fan of colored tattoos...but...
Yeah, the original plan was to was for the branches to be dark turquoise and green, blossoms be light brown and light pink. It's actually taken from Van Gogh's Almond Blossoms painting, so I had wanted it to look pretty similar. I'm just gonna wait until I've made a firm decision. Wonder, though, what it would look like with some colored and some not.
Honestly, if it were me, I would probably get some alcohol markers in faint colors and fill it in a few times in various ways to see how I liked having the color there. Obviously it wouldn't be texturally accurate, but it would help you know what it'd feel like in color.

What about the full-body sticker from The Information? It'd translate pretty well and wouldn't need clever framing/placement the way just a head might.
Thats not a bad idea Ms.Rain. It'll still be some time before I go through with it, tattoos are pricey and I spend all my money on music festivals

Or alternately, the jackass single would be pretty great as a tattoo:
But if you really, really want to get the Sea Change face, depending on the person you go to, bringing him/her the poster version might be at least a little more likely to succeed:

Yeah a lot of those images work but its gotta be one that really means something to me not just any random one. Sea Change is one of my favorite albums of all time, and Futurama Beck is just fucking incredible. I would never get his name
Theres gotta be a way to make Sea Change work but I can settle on something else I suppose

I hate portrait tattoos. I hate them. Find some way it translates to you, but not in a literal way. I'd personally not get Beck's face, but get the stripes of color somewhere like my shoulder.
Also, oh heyyyyy, bobert. How you doin'?![]()
