Default Top 10 Concerts for 2008

Still plenty of time for this, but wanted to make the thread while I was thinking about it.

Off the top of my head:

    1. Wilco - Outside Lands
    1. The Verve - Coachella
    3. My Bloody Valentine - Santa Monica Civic, 10/1

    Spectrum - ATP NY
Thievery Corporation - Greek Theater, 6/20 (I believe)
    Bon Iver - Outside Lands
    Boys Noize - Coachella
    The National - Coachella
    Autolux - El Rey, 2/1
    NIN - Forum, 9/6
Sigur Ros - Greek Theater, 10/3
    Portishead - Coachella
    Love and Rockets - Coachella

I will figure out the order at a later date.

    Good idea.

    Current list:
    1. The Flaming Lips-Sasquatch Festival
    2. My Bloody Valentine-Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, LA
    3. Nine Inch Nails, The Forum, LA
    4. Radiohead, Cricket Wireless Ampitheatre, SD
    5. Broken Social Scene, Sunset Junction, Silverlake
    6. Jamie Lidell, Sasquatch Festival
    7. Wolf Parade-Henry Fonda Theatre, LA

I'll leave three slots blank because I can't really think of who should fill them, and I have a lot of good shows lined up for the next month or so.

I still think Swervedriver at Coachella was the best and it was pathetic the tent was only about halfway full to see them. I guess many potential attendees were seeing Autolux (my worst conflict for this year).

No way!!! At first I told myself I wasnt gunna go because all the front seats were sold out and I didnt want seats in the back, But I ended up getting tix for the whole family and the fillmore is just fantastic from any point of view. I was really worried we were gunna be so far back but that place is perfect size.

How fucking awesome was "Burning Down the House" with him in the tutu??

Salah, I think for this list, you can't combine shows, like 2 nights of Beck (I picked night two for obvious reasons), or KraftHeadPrince... Just my opinion. Tough to distinguish between them all, though, I know.

It's too hard Josh!! Night one was the first time laying eyes on my love. We got the golden age (), missing, and the EPIC FACE-MELTING one-two punch of novacane ->profanity prayers.

BUT, night two we were much closer and we got youthless, replica, new pollution and better versions of nicotine&gravy/mixed bizness. Plus, tripping ballz (he DID play less songs though)

KraftHeadPrince is allowed. Just think of them as the opening act. They were all on the same stage right after each other. If it was spread apart, I wouldnt be able to do it

Pancakespancakes, that was me at Swervedriver. I tend to be in the front at much of Coachella, one of my talents. I cut my hair since then. For other pictures of me go to http://www.myspace.com/kroqken

    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

I think I remember your friend Austin. He is only the second person named Austin that I have ever met. The first was this dude who was a recruiter for the revived Dating Game of the late 1990s, when Brad Sherwood (a painfuly unfunny comedian) was the host. When I was on the Dating Game, I was bachelor number 2, and the girl picked bachelor number 3 (he was a fireman).

Boourns, why was Radiohead at the Hollywood Bowl ranked the lowest of the five Radiohead performances that you listed?

The first night? Because the other four shows I caught were better.
