I've usually fly into LAX (from Ohio) its a cool drive though.

Palm Springs, Orange County, or Ontario are your other choices (SanDiego as another option I guess) Car rates are MUCH HIGHER at Palm Springs than LAX, and so are flights.

LAX is your best bet for price though!

C DUB, what's the cool drive about it? i've flown into PSP the past three years and this is my first time coming from LAX. what roads do you usually take to get to palm springs/indio from LAX? i'm just curious because (obv) i have never done it before. thanks!

oh, btw, the closest airport to fly into is PSP. it's super small and ***tty awesome. but yeah, everything is more expensive there. found that out this year, as i just mentioned why.

its just cool to see the desert mountains and wind farms, esp. when you come from OHIO.

But mainly cause it will save you quite a chunk of change. I've done both.

So far of the prices I've checked this time, Orange County is the cheapest for me. We flew into PSP in ***4 and Ontario in ***6. Worth it to avoid PSP at all possible because of the higher prices mentioned in the above posts.

Last year i flew into LAX and this year i am doing the same. my friend and i got our tickets about 2 months ago on hotwire (you know those cheap ass tickets where they don't tell you the times till after you buy them) yeah well it worked out ***tty good cuz they only cost us 168.00 per person/roundtrip.

This is the 1st year I've had to fly - used to live in SoCal and drive - now flying from Lexington, KY. But I used my frequent flyer miles, (plus some of my Wife's with xfers), and I am flying into PSP, FIRST CLASS, for $145. I'm ***tty stoked.

Ontario would proboly the cheapest of the 3 airports.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

You could always try Burbank, a lot of Southwest flights go into Burbank and Jet Blue is flying in and out of there now.
