We may have to post lyric ideas to current songs to help James make his deadline. Let's start with Loosing My Edge.

Some Facebookery.
LCD Soundsystem to respond to stuff: i think new album in march. so there. in studio as we speak (type) waiting for something to get edited and got an email that i can now access this thing. so there. thanks for the niceness, etc. blah jwill totally tour next year also. as many places as we can. places we've been to a bunch (hello, dearest glasgow!) and hopefully places we've never been (mexico? serbia? china?) with what i think will be the best version of the band yet. ... there will most likely be a single before the new year, and the new 45:33 remixes are coming out right now.the art is photos by ruvan Wijesooriya and graphics by dfa superdesigner mike vadino of bureau. the mastering for the vinyl (and digi) is by my engineer hero, original mentor, and best vinyl cutter ever, bob weston of shellac at chicago mastering. i'm honestly really excited.
Ooo, thx MP!
I have no doubt that Mr. Potatohead will be there.
I've been listeing to the Prince Thomas Diskomiks track off the 45:33 Remixes on the way to work. My car just needs a disco ball!!

i can't even believe all the Hot Chip shit-talking on the first page. i don't think i like any of you, at all, anymore, nor could i ever respect your opinions about music ever again. Hot Chip is a LIVE, INSTRUMENTAL electronic band. LCD don't even compare on a scale of talent, rhythm, percussiveness, songwriting, or performance. you guys are bass ackwards and i am actually upset to have read any of your (apparently) uneducated opinions. do any of you even play an intsrument?
fucking hacks.
OK, so i'll be making my triumphant return to the sahara then?

I have a feeling Doyle won't be in the new version of the band.hopefully places we've never been (mexico? serbia? china?) with what i think will be the best version of the band yet.

You know the way sometimes there's a party nobody tells you about?
....
Hypothetically, I mean of course this has of course never happened to any one of us.
Seriously, FUCK Hot Chip.
That band is shit.
Bad vibes waste a person, Suprefan.
i guess i just don't get it. i like both bands, but Hot Chip is obviously the more musically impressive of the two. LCD is just simple, musically. Hot Chip showcases more complex rhythms and hand patterns. maybe it's a percussionist thing?
whatever though, i don't really hate you.![]()
LCD Soundsystem is a bit more thinky and patient than Hot Chip. I mean I like both, but LCD Soundsystem just have far, far better songs to me so the "more musically impressive" bit doesn't fly for me.
You've told me you think about me when you're on the toilet, if that counts.
I'll go to my grave wishing I'd hugged James Murphy.
You know, unless I've done it by then, like.

I didn't get it at all I think until I got so drunk at a party I couldn't stand up or reach the speakers anymore, so I had to listen to Sound of Silver while I waited to regain control of my limbs.
Then I got all weird and emotional, and I think it was only partly the booze.
Sound of Silver the only weak track on that disc, and even it's pretty damn good.
Also, I bumped into My Old Friend Who Looks Really Fucking Eerily Like SoulDischarge at James Murphy's dj set a while back. Obviously, it would have taken way too long to explain to him.
If he's attending James Murphy DJ sets, I might need to pull a Ripley on him.
And my GET IT moment with Sound Of Silver involved me and a bunch of my friends tripping out of our minds on the 4th of July at a friend's house on the beach in Santa Barbara. It took us like a song or two to figure out how to use the microwave, but you better believe it was the most fun I've ever using a microwave. "Sound Of Silver" is a great track too.

He was covered in glowing facepaint.
He didn't know he was covered in glowing facepaint though.
He didn't know how he came to be covered in glowing facepaint.
