They are already confirmed for Sonar, so the tour dates are coming.
You never know. I was surprised Massive Attack came here.

I hope they're at Coachella so I don't have to travel to see them. They don't quite make it to my top 20 threshold for 2010's fiscal responsibility, although they're a killer live act. One of my favorite memories of Coachella '07 is some kid going apeshit behind me -- along with the rest of the crowd -- during "Yeah."
anybody else crossing their fingers for a special disco version??
fuck
dont get me wrong id much rather see the band live, (ive regretfully missed every opportunity ive had to see them) but i love the fabriclive mix and i would love to see james and pat dj as well.
Id rather have a dj set than no set at all and i could see them possibly djing friday and playing live sunday or something.
and yeah the special disco version is a james and pat dj set where they play stuff similar to the fabriclive.
fuck

"All of you coachella 'regulars' have nasty boy pussies and itchy dick4's on your asses.
Why don't you all make like a tree and get chopped down and die. You all have been dreadfully mean to me.
I Hate you. All of you. None of you will ever get to see a womans chest meat or finger blast hott cougies like me.
Fuck you all. Consider this my resignation.
Fair the well, you elitest scumbags."

wasn't Pat Mahoney talking about leaving the band? or was that someone else?
There really isn't a band. There is James, and then whatever band he puts together to tour with. Either way, Pat didn't talk about leaving. Al Doyle said some stupid shit a while ago about LCD Soundsystem being over which was quickly debunked.
well I meant "band" as in the live project.
and so it was Al Doyle that was saying stuff - I stand corrected.
I thought Nancy was sort of a solid member of LCD

New LCD album is “definitely better than the other two”
Vague information about the new LCD Soundsystem continues to dribble out. In this week’s NME, which hit newsstands today, James Murphy says that the eagerly-anticipated record is “definitely better” than the band’s previous two full-lengths.
“What I tried to do on the second record [Sound of Silver] was to make a much more wider and strange-sounding record [than LCD Soundsystem], but I ended up making something more cohesive. This time round I’m not sure what I’m trying to do…but I think I am doing what I was trying to achieve on Sound of Silver, which was a wider palette of sound.”
No news yet on the tracklist or title of the album, which is expected to see release in the early Spring.
“I don’t tend to name my albums until they’re completely done,” Murphy tells NME. “I always have a fake title that is the worst title I can think of while I’m working on it….This new record is called ‘Internet Sensation!’ with an exclamation mark.”
The album has been recorded in LA and New York with LCD regulars Al Doyle (also of Hot Chip) and Pat Mahoney, as well as Gavin ‘Black Meteoric Star’ Russom.

God damn, I want this album.

James Murphy says 2010 LCD Soundsystem album will be band's last
Murphy hints to NME.COM that he'll be quitting touring
January 14, 2010
LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy has told NME.COM that his forthcoming new album may be his last under that moniker.
In an interview that you can read in full in this week's issue of NME (out nationwide now), the New Yorker also admitted that the next LCD Soundsystem tour (as-yet unannounced) "should probably be the last" one. He added that in order to move on musically he needs a change, though also admitted that it's not the first time he's made such statements.
"I know I said that last time and things changed," he explained, "but I don't like to repeat myself."
Speaking about what he may do next, Murphy remained coy. "I don't like saying things like that because I realise people see them as proclamations of some sort, which is not how I feel at all," he said. "When I'm working on [a record] it makes sense to think of it as the last you'll ever do because then you make it good."
Murphy did confirm that work on LCD Soundsystem's new material is going to plan, saying that he thinks the album is "definitely better than the other two" and promising a "wider palette of sound". The follow-up to 2007's 'Sound Of Silver' is tentatively penned in for release in April, and is as-yet untitled.
To read the full interview with LCD Soundsystem, make sure you pick up a copy of NME's Albums Of 2010 issue, which hits newsstands across the UK today (January 13).
Now I really hope the SF doesn't conflict with a day of Coachella. My hate for the person who made me miss LCD at Lolla just doubled as well.
Who made you miss them at Lolla?
Oh, it wasn't someone from the boards, or another artist. Just someone I used to be friends with. They wanted to go back to their house before Daft Punk, and I stupidly agreed thinking we would all get back before LCD. We didn't, and I only got to see a couple minutes of their set as we were walking over to get a good spot for Daft.
Ah, well that sucks either way. Luckily they were on tour in 07. I caught them at V-fest and it was meh, but I blamed the atmosphere and not them. I'd gladly give them a 2nd chance.
You've seen them before, right swan?
