...Does anyone else think it will be between Bonnaroo or Lollapalooza? I've read a lot of people speculating they might be a Coachella headliner due to their new album, but the latter two festivals seem more probable.

If they headlined Coachella that would be the most disappointing thing ever.
I'd prefer they not headline Coachella. I think Lollapalooza is a better fit for them.
I just threw up a little bit.
Whatever. I dont want them to headline Coachella but when I saw them in 05, I was massively blown away. To this day it still remains one of my top shows, Billy Joe and the boys sure know how to have fun. They sounded incredible, gave us a perfect setlist of classic, new and cover songs and really were genuinely having a great time on stage. That kind of positive energy really radiates and the crowd picks up on that

You don't think Bonnaroo is a possibility? I sure do, especially in recent years since they've put the likes of Metallica, Kanye, and the White Stripes up as headliners. Isn't MTV vested in Bonnaroo as a sponser or something, too, nowadays? Green Day is very much an MTV-ready band, which is why I feel like that festival will be moving more towards hugely popular alternative arena acts in the coming years.
Anyway, I'm not advocating a Green Day headlining spot at Coachella at all. If you ask me, the poster for Friday is more likely to say "No Doubt" as headliners with Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Yo La Tengo underneath as subheadliners.

Here's another article, and I guess the answer is no, the whole MTV <3 Bonnaroo thing was a big tall tale that some of us (until now) thought was true.

This is ultimate fail. Green Day blows hard.
Yeah JJ beats Green Day 100 pecent of the time.
Yeah I would be ok with Green Day headlined Coachella. I probably would not watch them but I know a lot of there songs. I saw them in Irvine like 6 years ago and it was good.
I'd just love hear American Idiot ringing through the beautiful desert at sunsent.
loljk
It would be lolla.

If any festival, it'd be Lolla, but I doubt they'll play any of them. Green Day playing wouldn't be as bad as the crowd it would bring. Thousands and thousands of middle schoolers flooding the Polo Fields from Hot Topic.
