Him playing song 2 has received more press than him releasing a solo album.

Saw Damon tonight it Atlanta and he is confirmed as my #1 man crush. Del came out in the encore and they did "Clint Eastwood" and it was fucking awesome.

After the festival tour last year, and rumors of a new album, I really thought we'd see Blur active and up and running. After some of the quotes that have come out of the Albarn and Coxon camps, plus seeing how much fun Damon is having with the solo record, not to mention the fact that he has zero qualms about playing Blur tracks, I think we'll be a long, long time waiting. I'm glad I got to see them at Coachella at least, but I was really hoping for a proper tour.

I think I ditched Blur's coachella set about 5 or 6 songs in to catch Grinderman. I don't regret it, because Grinderman fucking ruled, but I do wish I could catch a full set from them someday. Not exactly holding my breath though, all things considered.

Great set. Though, not playing Demon Days after Dont Get Lost In Heaven is fucked up.

Love the setlist, but going from such a happy-go-lucky track like Mr. Tembo to Don't Get Lost in Heaven strikes me as hilarious.

Surprised to see he's not performing "The Selfish Giant." Best song on the album IMO.

Damon, 46, will start work on the West End show in September.

As well as his musical, Damon is thinking of reviving Gorillaz after reuniting with artist bandmate Jamie Hewlett, 46.

“I’ve found myself writing a lot of uptempo songs that sound like Gorillaz,” he said.

odd timing. it being only a digital release also seems a little pointless. I really hope it is not an iTunes exclusive.

Blur’s 1995 show at iconic Tokyo venue The Nippon Budokan will receive a long awaited digital release – via iTunes - on 11th August 2014. http://smarturl.it/budokanremastered

The band visited Japan almost 20 years ago on The Great Escape Tour, performing to 20,000 fans at the Budokan on 8th November 1995. The audio received a Japanese physical release the following year, going on to become a much sought after and hugely popular import around the world. Now, with audio remastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios, the legendary show will finally be available everywhere for the first time.

Earlier this year, Blur returned to the Budokan for a highly anticipated sold out show: http://smarturl.it/yukoandhirobudokan

and, of course, CoS headline states it is a 'new' live album. idiots.

I actually never listened to this album. is it any good?

I quite like it. I'm keen on hearing it remastered though, as my copy from ? sounds just "okay."

I am bummed though, I first thought this was a physical release and had visions of a 3-LP vinyl pressing.

mother fucker's added Spitting Out the Demons to his set list!

unrelated to that, I initially assumed he would wrap up his tour in 2014, but now I'm starting to wonder whether he might make a Coachella appearance and whether he's been waiting until then to come tour the west coast.

but that might just be vain optimism.
