I am so excited to see Blur and New Order. Fuck.
.....
So no more Blur records?
"No, I don't think so."
And will you play live again after Hyde Park?
"No, not really."
This is even bigger news. So that's it?
"I think so, yeah," he says.

No regrets about dropping all this money to go to Sweden. None.
.
I can do without new Blur records, but I was hoping they'd come through America next year - maybe Coachella... It at least seems that he would be up for working with Graham Coxon again, which is something I would love to see. It's also cool that he and Noel Gallagher have found peace. I don't see any indication of it, but it would be really interesting if they collaborated on something.
Despite the bad news, that was really interesting to read.
Yeah, I was just coming back to say that... Great interview. Surprised to hear he is still smoking, too.
.
Very sad news if Hyde Park is their last show.
I never really believe it when damon says something will or will not happen, but...
WTF!
Either way, I am still psyched to hear the new track. He also mentions the westway in Fool's Day.
Also, I think it's odd that that none of the interviews he has done lately mention the fact that Blur are playing in Denmark and Sweden, too.
.
I still want an explanation for those.
the danish one is particularly odd. look at this lineup: http://www.smukfest.dk/program_delvi...07&id3=0&id4=0

Oh, Damon!Damon Albarn Denies the End of Blur and Gorillaz
Backtracks On Earlier Comments
A few weeks back Damon Albarn was quoted by The Guardian saying that any potential work down the line with either Blur or Gorillaz was "unlikely." Albarn has now come forward to say that neither project has reached their ultimate conclusion.
In a new interview with Metro Albarn says his statements about Hyde Park being Blur's last show "[came] from an article which was an interesting take on a very long conversation. I don’t know how we’ll feel when we play Hyde Park. Some days I feel one way and other days I feel the other. If you don’t see something as a career but as an important part of your life, you don’t know how you’re going to feel about it. We want to put on a great performance but nothing’s been said between us about the beginning or the end."
In regards to Gorillaz, Albarn says he's optimistic that his recent fallout with co-founder Jamie Hewlett will pass at some point down the road: "When Jamie Hewlett and I have worked out our differences, I’m sure we’ll make another record. We’ve been through too much together for it to be that big of a mountain to climb. We’ve just fallen out like mates do sometimes. I’m not the only person to fall out with mates and then make up again – everyone does it."
With a massive retrospective box set scheduled for release on July 30, Blur are to play London's Hyde Park on Aug. 12.

Ya, I guess most 15 year olds fly to another country to see a concert all the time. Maybe I should have just gone to their debut shows back in 89.

Weird, I am fairly certain they already recorded "Under The Westway". I wonder what they are doing back in the studio.
.
I don't think they'll record a new album or anything. Damon is too busy with other projects. Hoping for another the Good, the Bad and the Queen LP
Did you guys read this today....
"Blur could have been good. But Damon, brilliant and talented tho he is, is kinda a shit to the rest of Blur."
