    Default Fugazi

Are they Emo or Hardcore? Cos they don't sound very hardcore to me. BUt then they don't sound Emo either. I thought Emo was nerd rock like Weezer.

And have they ever / will they ever played Coachella?

i would call them a punk band.

a punk band that will never, ever play coachella, and that's part of why I love them.

I heard they were the first Emo band and post-hardcore. But the 2 are sooooo far apart it just seems weird. I expected them to be all screamo and Alexisonfire / Atreyu kind of.

I don't really know much about Indie/guitar music tbh.

you are thinking of Rites of Spring, which is also Ian's band... They were part of the first wave of emo, and they have a lot in common with hardcore too...

    As a completely different subject.

There is a 'dial-a-beer' delievery company over here in Bournemouth called 'Liquor Out'.

    Hope you enjoy that.

Rites of Spring definitely, along with Embrace, who were around at the same time. Rites of Spring featured Joe Lally and Guy Picciotto, and Embrace was Ian MacKaye and Jeff Nelson from Minor Threat.

Yeah, they took the name kinda. It makes finding the "emo" embrace hard to find.

I wonder if any of you actually pronounce this word correctly. I've never once heard someone talking about the band do so.

Correct. I've never heard any fan say it with a "gay," always a "gah." Fucking goyim.

I am hesitant to correct Bmack, and it totally makes not one bit of difference, but Jeff Nelson wasn't in Embrace I'm pretty sure. Also, Joe Lally wasn't in Rites of Spring, but Brendan Canty was. Sorry, I'm a nerdy Dischord fan.
