i tend to prefer to hear dnb live though. it's funny, i've been listening for like 9 years now, but i hardly know any track names or anything because i always prefer to hear new stuff on the dancefloor!!!

I'd say most people are like you. It's the nuts like me that hunt down all the tracks and trainspot what songs the DJs are playing.

i'm also not a dj, which makes a difference too it's just hard to even search for a lot of those tracks since they don't have lyrics. i generally have to just have to happen to have my friend who is a drum and bass dj with me to get any track names while i hear them, lol.

Totally, It's ALOT easier now though than it used to be. Back before forums, online retailers like beatport, top dj charts, blogs, myspace pages etc. it used to REALLY suck to hear a track and wonder for weeks what it was. With a little research and diligence it's pretty easy to find song ids now.

yep....i got gigs on the 27th and 28th and I have some issues with what time I would be playing so i decided to come home and be with my Super Fun Techno Rave Party friends instead.

me too... im actually excited for the dj set. saw them live at coachella and at the mayan a month ago or so and both times they were incredible!

I figured since they are in the process of an American Tour they probably wouldn't play live on NYE, but rather a DJ set. I've seen them live twice, so DJ set works for me. I understand your reasons though.

I never have..I could I guess. I just don't think I would drink enough vodka and water to make it worth it. I have no idea how the ride situation is gonna work. If we all go together and if you and I get VIP that leaves Mark and Miranda waiting in line and that's not much fun. I think Mark and I would prefer to just get there early and hang out and chill based on our earlier conversations.
