God, how can someone possibly play a nine-hour set? I know some people perform that length and longer (after hearing about Danny Tenaglia's marathon sets on this board) but it just seems like it would be so ridiculous and repetitive, when you know it's just all a slow burn until that last hour or so.

Well, we are just going to have to be specific. Besides it seems like the majority here will be going to cali events. I like that moby is playing giant...but I'm not into giant nye events...I like that mandy and deadmau5 are playing TOA but I hate the sports arena and I'm not sure I'm into the rest of the line up. Maybe I should just do what I used to do. Go down to Carlsbad, CA. for the weekend and enjoy some alone time.

HARD lost their event on NYE at the Shrine because the Shrine decided to host an awards show there instead. Gave me the excuse of PR and how the Shrine's image is more important then money.....sucks

harsh but fair, they probably will end up just having it where they did last year. on the streets of an abandoned truck station in downtown L.A. I wouldn't mind that at all, especially since I will be getting VIP (open bar) this time...hehehe

We waited in line for over three hours to get in. Once inside, just minutes before midnight, they had fire Marshals on every floor denying people access due to over crowding. We missed basically everyone we wanted to see and hung out in the chill out area for like a hour and left. It was fucking awful, never again. Tickets were also like $100.
