The's Wish#1: I wish that Coachella would team up with ATP and do a Don't Look Back set for Friday night. Not just this year, but every year. To me this would be a perfect way to kick off the Coachella weekend. Just wish'n.

I'd have to disagree, since I find the idea of performing an album in it's whole kinda gimmicky.

Roger Waters gets a by on this one though.

Also, there is a festival that has teamed up with ATP for Don't Look Back, and it's called Pitchfork festival.

Well this is my wish not yours, so there. Hearing Gang of Four's "Entertainment" or MBV's "Loveless" in it's entirety, would not feel gimmicky to me. A good idea is a good idea. I don't care if another festival does it, I go to Coachella.

The Don't Look Back thing only works about half the time in my experience, but when it does work, holy fuck does it work. It just depends on what caliber of band and if they have enough originality to make something we've all heard hundreds of times sound surprising and fresh. I bet Gang of Four could pull that off.
