Upcoming Shows:
Sasquatch Festival
I could see Daft there, a late nite set would trump any other US performance *coughchellacough*
I could see The Chemical Brothers there more than any big EDM act. Dylan how would you feel about a Blackstar nightshow at the Roo?
Ecstatic, Outkast w/ George 'n Co. would be the best. As much as I love hip-hop, it really just doesn't translate that well live...
Talib kweli kills it live though, and mos def gets his soul/funk on when he plays live.
Yeah, I've seen both a few times never together tho...
I thought Common w/ a band was better than both individually....
same here, they even did blackstar songs live at Rock The Bells 2007. That was real cool.
One of the best hip hop shows I've ever seen was Common with a live band along with Hi-Tek and Talib Kweli. Free show, TONS of people there so I wasn't able to get close at all but it didn't matter.
Did Gangstarr open? Was it the Electric Circus Tour? That's the one I saw and YES, AMAZING!
I'm calling it now.
Red Hot Chili Peppers/The Cure/Phish
Also, add me to the list.
I'm going to try to make it next year, especially since it's only 2 states away now.
If you live in Ohio you have absolutely no excuse not to be there.
The list is growing.
It will be interesting to see how many people actually stay on the list though. I hope all of them do, but who knows. I think MMJ is big enough now to be a subheadliner this year. I wonder if they'll play on the main stage.
I am STILL hurt that i missed this year...
kinda made up for it though as I saw Pearl Jam x2, Kanye x2, MMJ, The Raconteurs, Sigur Ros, Death Cab, Lupe x3, Against Me! and MGMT all at some point this year...
Next year would be a good time to go though...I'm interested in the Phish reunion, but not enough to see them at their own show and a MMJ 4 hour set with most likely some good headliners might be enough to get me to drive out to Tennessee...just gotta convince at least one of my friends...
I wouldn't count on MMJ playing 4 hours. They're not superman.
I don't think RHCP will be there, but maybe I'm just hoping. I don't really care for Phish but I'd watch the show probably. I love American Beauty and Workingman's Dead, but I don't really care one way or another about The Dead (but they'll for sure be there, Phish too).
I just REALLY want The Cure & My Morning Jacket (I wish I coulda seen their performace at the Roo this year). Anyone else that I like is just an added bonus. Honestly, I don't really care what the lineup looks like, I have to finally go to the Roo this year.

STS9, MMJ and Galactic are my three favorite jambands right now. Like STS9, WP and MMJ, they've only missed like one year, so they will almost definitely be there next year too.
What's WP going to do then? If they play any other time then closing out Sunday, they're just going to be lost and confused.
Do you like Galactic, Tommyboy?
