I'm so happy I got my MMJ show here man. I mean, it was no 3 1/2 hour set but what it lacked in length I made up for it in proximity. I doubt I will ever be that close to Jim James again (mmm have his guitar pick). I really need to find a way to keep my energy level up for these things.

So for those of you who have been before is it better to fly in thursday morning or Wndsday night? I know there is some stuff on thursday but if i get there on a wendsday I would probably need a hotel for the night right? I am just trying to figure out how much vacation i need to save up and price some flights.

You really wouldn't miss anything if you got there late Thursday BUT the sooner you step on the farm the sooner you think "ahhh, this is where I need to be..."

the sooner you set up camp, the better. they say if you get there wednesday night they dont let you in, but they do in fact let you in.

I didn't even stay for MMJ's entire show, and it was up there with Pearl Jam as my favorite set of the weekend.

Back Door Slam was pretty damn good as well. Wait, no, The Raconteurs were better. I'm getting flashbacks.....Roo '09 can't come soon enough.

Get there Wednesday night and meet up with us (me, Salah and whoever else). You don't wanna drive in on Thursday morning and wait in line for 7 hours. We made it fun, but Wednesday night is the way to go. I learned the hard way.

The Raconteurs destroyed my soul. I loved their Chella set but what they did at Roo made Chella looked like kids play. There was a point where I thought to myself "Holy Crap, this is just as good as the white stripes". I have never seen JW that tweaked out. He was outrageously sexy. Brendan looked like a mess as usual, the bass player creepy, the drummer really cute too and I love their keyboard player. I kinda found myself with one eye on him every now and then.

you know, back in 07 I never got a bonnaroo shirt and I told myself I would get one online. It never happened. this year I figured I would buy a shirt from last year and one for this year. Didnt happen. I still tell myself I'll get them online.

Honestly, I don't mind the music at all but ever since I saw that documentary on VH1 I just can't stand James or Lars. It has really put a damper on the band as a whole, I couldn't justify paying $80 to support those tools.
