Courtney, I believe you have a certain milestone birthday coming up (you and I shared the same video in my "Post a YouTube of the #1 Billboard Song on the Day You Were Born" thread). Here's my challenge, if you choose to accept it: tell us a favorite song that was released during each year of your life. I've been working on my own list, and will be happy to share with you in return! (Also, you should bug Tom, because he came up with this idea as well.)
If this is too homeworky for your taste, tell me your ten favorite songs of all time, period.
If you could go back to any period time, in any city for a week, when and where would you go?
You are one of my favorite photographers that shares pictures here and elsewhere. What are 5 of your all time favorite concert shots you took? 5 all time non concert shots? And what are 3 of you favorite pictures taken by other photographers (living or dead)? Please share you thoughts about them.
And what's the worst physical pain you have ever experienced and the tale that goes with it?

2. Create a World Health Organization uber-genius director-general who figures out how to cure cancer, AIDS, and all that bad stuff, as well as eradicating mental illness.
3. Show me the path towards finding a job I find personally satisfying and rewarding, harmony within my family relationships, and life partner I can happily grow old with.
Oh, also, I know I used up my top three, but I also would very much like the perfect pair of high heels that doesn't hurt to wear for 10 or 12 hours on your feet.
You got casted for a season of Real World: Coachella. Who would you want the other 6 household members be and why? Please choose members you never met before. Keep in mind that the Real World "was hailed in its early years for depicting issues of contemporary young-adulthood relevant to its core audience, such as prejudice, sexuality, AIDS and substance abuse, but later garnered a reputation as a showcase for immature and irresponsible behavior" (Yeah, Wiki!) You cannot make it all lovey dovey plurry.

Courtney, with MJA's line of questioning it seems he is prepping you to become part of his armageddon militia movement, do you join his clan or do you take your chances out on your own?

2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
The worst physical pain I have been in was during a short little puddle-jumper flight from Vieques to San Juan when my inner ear canal had some sort of infection from scuba diving, and the pressure from the flight's altitude caused my eardrum to rupture. But honestly, I find a lot of stuff quite painful, even normal massages. My doctor says there is some sort of physiological reason different people have varying pain thresholds, but mostly I think I'm just a wimp.
I certainly would not mind doing this some week! But of course, it's up to Courtney.
Courtney, if you could go back in time and convince a band you love from ever releasing an album you hated by them, which band, what album, and why?
This will be a good week.I don't know what an Eiffel Tower is, and I don't think I really want to know, but I am going to assume it's some sort of sexual thing. I don't know IceyHotshot, VigoTheCarpathian, Bumblebee, Baily or Goatchella at all, so they are all automatically out. Suprefan tends to like calling people out for silly things, like not being the first to post some sort of news item, so I would be weary of engaging in any sort of activity with him because I would be afraid it would feel like a rush to the finish for bragging rights of who came first. RotationSlimWang can be pretty judgy-judgy about people and I would be hyper self-conscious about stuff in front of him so he's out too. So I choose PotvsKtl and TomAz. Pot is smart and cute, so I'm down with that, and Tom is old enough to know exactly what he's doing and do it right.
What is the best book you've read in the past six months? The Worst?
What is the fiction you've read that has most influenced your life/personality?
If you could have high tea with any author, dead or alive, who would it be, and what would be the topic of discussion over cucumber sandwiches?
I would like to spend the week in Manhattan, circa August 1966. It happens to be the one time when both my maternal grandfather and paternal grandfather were in the same city during their lifetime. Both my my grandfathers passed away before I was born, so I would love to be able to get to know both of them.
My maternal grandfather would be spending weekdays in his Madison Avenue law firm and weekends at the family's beach club on the south shore of Long Island. We would sit under the beach umbrellas and drink cocktails at 11am.
My paternal grandfather would be in a hospital, where he had recently been relocated from Panama after being diagnosed with cancer. He would pass away shortly thereafter, but a week would be enough time for me to at least get to know him a little bit, even if it was over hospital jello.
I would also spend the week wearing groovy miniskirts, and I would attend the Beatles' show at Shea Stadium.
Honestly, there is no one else out there who I hold enough of a grudge or hatred towards at this moment that I would care enough to expend the energy to punch him or her.
For the house, I would choose:
I feel like the dynamics of the first five would make it a fantastic party house with lots of interesting stuff to film. I saw Sunni party at ATP and lady seriously throws down. She is great at infusing life and fun into any gathering. Ivy also seems like she would be fun, but also that she would possibly infuse some drama into the mix with relationship dating stuff and also personal health stuff. MJA is comically fantastic and would make for great tv with his costumes and shenanigans. Drinkey is a great enabler with his I-don't-give-a-fuck attitude, because he pretty much seems down for whatever you might suggest, no matter how off the wall. Corinna drinks and parties like a champ, and she would also be around to get in pithy digs and keep everyone in their place. RageAgainstTheAoki is there as the double affirmative action candidate because he gives us both racial and sexual orientation diversity, but also because he tremendously astute about interpersonal relationships and I think he would provide great sound bytes and could serve a bit as the voice of reason for the show. Also, everyone on the cast is hot so hopefully there will be plentiful hookups.
Thankfully, other than that I have not experienced a lot of violence in my life.
