    Never look back.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

When did you go to UCLA?

    What was your major?

If you could see any band currently touring, who would it be?

What's the best venue you've been to?

If you had to wipe out a single animal species, what would it be and why?

Courtney, I'll get to your question eventually, but having spent little to no time in the Misc Lounge before, I don't have a very good grasp on the regulars' personalities or preferences. I could tell you what some people are into musically, though, being that I spend more time in those sections.

    I went to UCLA from 2006 - 2010.

Double majored in Economics and Political Science, Departmental Honors in Econ (one of seven in my department's graduating class that year who got it).

The "currently touring" restriction makes this one tough to answer because there aren't a whole lot of bands that don't make their way through LA/I can't see. That said, seeing as how they announced their first date in 3 years at ATP in the UK, I have to say Stars of the Lid. Owen Pallett is a close second, and I think he's playing the same fest actually.

Best venue is either the Largo or the Fonda. I've only been to the Largo once but I loved it; I'll be going again this week for Kurt Vile. The Fonda always has excellent sound and it's super easy to get close, and I have seen a ton of great stuff there.

I would choose to eliminate pigeons because they are disgusting and spend time making noise outside my window early in the morning.

What is the angriest you've ever been and why?

If you could go gay for one person, who would it be?

What band/artist are you secretly ashamed for liking?

What is your happiest memory from childhood?

What is something you still enjoy from your childhood (like, for me, it's Pokemon)?

    1. Probably some fight I had with the brother nearest me in age. Those arguments happened frequently when I was between 5-13 and I got incredibly pissed on more than one occasion. Interestingly I almost never get angry anymore; it takes a lot to set me off.

    2. One of my best friends, whom I love as a person, though we are both straight and have no sexual or romantic attraction.

    3. Not really any, though the winner must be Arash. He makes bad Persian pop, and I listened to him way too much when I was learning the language.

    4. It's cliche, but probably the time my older brother took me to Disneyland for my birthday when I was 9 or 10.

    5. The Legend of Zelda. I practically never play video games anymore (I used to a lot), but I will always find a way to play the newest Zelda.

What is your favorite and least favorite Zelda game and why?

What do you think about the Nintendo DS Zelda games?

My favorite is Ocarina of Time, because it was what introduced me to the series. I've played it over a dozen times and would gladly play it again. My least favorite is Twilight Princess. I've only played it once, and tried to go through it again a year later and got bored and put it down.

The DS games are the only ones I haven't played. I dislike handhelds, and I always emulated the gameboy ones.

    1. If you HAD to genocide a group of people but the criteria for who deserves to be exterminated can be anything you want... what group would die and why? The following criteria are not acceptable: race, creed, religion, any other shit like that. It has to be something you can justify as a legitimate way to improve the global population by weeding out a hazardous element based on something insightful. Like, you can't just say "rapists." You have to say, "guys who wear backwards baseball caps, because it would reduce the rape rates."

    2. What was the most shocking thing you ever realized about your own self?

    3. Who is your favorite poster on this board?

    4. What motivated you to take up majors that are primarily suited towards only the evillest of occupations and motivations for attaining them (greed, power, etc.)? Do you have some kind of half-crocked delusion that you're getting into it for the right reasons or are you content to profit off an imaginary system of value that sustains itself purely through the mass ignorance of the unwashed?

I try to avoid answering these at work because it is time consuming and distracting to do on my phone but I feel compelled to answer this one now. I propose that we turn all theatres that are showing the upcoming Katy Perry movie into gas chambers so as to improve the general IQ and cultural values of the public.

Lame. Sorry, but lame. You get the chance to kill as many people as you can qualify with one piece of information and the best you think to do for the world is to exterminate a bunch of teeny boppers? Easy target and lame. If we'd exterminated all the New Kids On The Block fans back in the day would it have had a majorly wonderful impact on society? Maybe music would've sucked a little less and there'd be less shrieking but overall a waste of a mass grave.

Now, if we killed all the economists....

Yeah, it would have. All the Wall Street Masters Of The Universe who are rounding 30 today were all rocking backwards baseball caps 10 years ago, if they don't still. I would have eliminated a whole crop of future power-brokering cocksuckers instead of just gassing teenage girls.

Economists are not the same as investment bankers.

Technically that statement wasn't pointing at economists whatsoever, it was pointing at Wall Street and its connection to backwards baseball caps. My previous comment connected the two. And I'm pretty sure if you dug through the upper echelons of the major investment banks, you'd find a lot of Econ majors.

You gotta think though...imagine what you could do with all those teenage corpses, sell the black market healthy body parts *assuming the gas didn't damage any nerves, etc* and he could try many flavors of the world all in one place. Just has to move from seat to seat.

Yeah, I know that many econ majors later become I bankers. I tutored some of them and graded exams, so I know how douchey they can be. I wouldn't say having a BA in econ makes someone an economist anymore than my BA in poli sci makes me a political scientist, which I am certainly not.

I dunno, it kinda does. It's not like "economist" is a real job. What the fuck does an "economist" do? Pontificate about the economy? I guess the assholes that end up on panel debate shows can be called professional economists as they hock their meaningless books and do nothing to avert or warn against the inevitable truths of the systems they studied so intensely, but that's about it. Anybody else takes their economist skills they acquired and they go get one of several hundred more specific jobs using those skills. Hell, I don't even think you need a poly sci degree to be a political scientist. I'm better at both those things than you and I dropped out of college after two semesters, so I don't see why you can't call yourself a political scientist seeing as I'm perfectly qualified to be one.

    Back to the questions:

    5. Start counting the seconds using your hands as you read this question: think of the last five vaginas you witnessed with your own eyes live and in person, strip clubs or other such scenarios do not count. These have to have been vaginas displayed to you through some measure of familiarity. You must think of the specific, exact last five, the circumstance in which you remember seeing them--precision.

How many seconds did it take you to remember all five?
