Not as such. I'm basically agnostic when it comes to the whole what happens after we die thing. I'm neither convinced nor not convinced in the existence of the soul, so I dunno. Maybe there's some sort of universal consciousness (or, some sort of unconscious universal energy) that our awareness rejoins after death. Maybe because all of the particles in our body will eventually be recycled into other living things that constitutes a sort of bodily, if not spiritual, reincarnation. Maybe we just blink out of existence and that's all she wrote. I'm honestly not too worried about it.

Peter, Paul & Mary when I was 5. And yes, from what my mom tells me I rocked the fuck out to Puff the Magic Dragon.

The first concert I went to of my own accord was Live, when I was 16, and I was slightly obsessed with them at the time. And yes, I greatly enjoyed that one too.

I've read some of your posts in the Girl's Only Thread, so because of that I ask: If you had an unlimited amount of money what would be your dream outfit? Please include shoes.

What do you do for a living?

I work in the library of a large law firm. My title is "librarian technician", which basically means that I maintain the collection, assist attorneys with their research, and do a lot of tedious shit like pulling cases.

What book from your childhood/teen years had the most influence on you?

It's hard to say. I was a huge bookworm, and read constantly, and there are a lot of books that had an effect on me. The first book that ever made me cry was Bridge to Terabithia, so I guess I'll say that. It was the first time that I realized how emotionally invested it's possible to get in a story.

I've read some of your posts in the Girl's Only Thread, so because of that I ask: If you had an unlimited amount of money what would be your dream outfit? Please include shoes.

Ooh, I love this question. I will get back to it after lunch.

IFA, do you have a 5-year plan?

No, but then I'm not much of a planner in general. I have a decent job that I more or less like, I own my condo, and I make enough to pay my bills (usually), so I could end up doing this for the rest of my life. Or else I could decide next year to bugger off and go live in an ashram in India or something. I like to keep my options open.

If you could cause something that happened in the history of the world to happen again in order to teach something to those in the present, what would you have re-happen and why?

I'm really not sure that I understand this question... do you mean that the exact circumstances of some historical event would repeat, today, like, outside of time as some giant teaching opportunity or something and everyone would somehow know about it? Or would a parallel set of circumstances arise in which some great historical event would replay, only within the context of today's society?

Um, I guess not? I mean, I think that history is pretty much constantly replaying itself anyway. If we had learned the first time, then we wouldn't have had the same problems repeating for pretty much the entirety of human history.

Are you AZ born and raised, or where else have you lived?

Born and raised. Aside from the first two years of my life, which were spent in Cortez Junction, I've always lived in the valley. Grew up in El Mirage, and since I've lived on my own I've always been somewhere in central Phoenix.

Go to the first post in this thread. Find his screen name in the post (he's #23) then click. That will take you directly to his week.

Okay, something kind of like this:

Mostly vintage. A great coat is a must, and since "money is no object" here, Louboutin shoes, a hermes scarf, and a Kelly bag.

If I were a secret agent spy (redundant?), I'd be the kind that gathers information while wearing designer clothing and having hot sex with rival secret agent spies. And also makes narrow escapes in flashy cars - not so much the kind that takes out world leaders. I would, of course, have a hidden derringer in some sort of garter-holster, but only for self-defense.

IFA thank you for answering my questions. Also thank you for explaining your screen name because my knee-jerk reaction is to think it has something to do with AFI (the band not the film thing), and ick.

You're welcome. It definitely has nothing to do with AFI. Though, I must guiltily admit to having rather liked their album malleus maleficarum when I was in high school...

I don't usually have to actually read the cases (and if I do, I'm just skimming for cites and references). I don't have any special background in law, and kind of just lucked in to this position, so I definitely can't do legal analysis. Luckily, my job here is based on my ability to find information, not to understand it. I worked at the State Senate for a while, as the archivist, so I'm actually much more familiar with the legislative process than the litigative process (though I've learned a lot since I've been here). Any cases that I've actually read through have been out of personal interest, and mostly have to do with civil rights. Like, Roe v. Wade, Brown v. The Board of Education, Miranda v. Arizona... mostly ones that were mentioned a lot in school.

Chrysalis has been servicing the needs of women, children and men throughout the Valley, who are trying to break the cycle of violence and abuse. The number of lives affected by Chrysalis has grown four fold since its inception, with more than 1,200 individuals now being helped each year through the efforts of Chrysalis staff and volunteers.

Chrysalis operates two residential crisis shelters located in Scottsdale and Phoenix. Combined they can house up to 50 women and children at once. Its like the Infinite Monkey Theorem, if you put X amount of monkeys in a room with a typewriter and ask them to give you Shakespeare 99% of them will fling their shit at you while the other 1% will masturbate in the corner.
