Theijuiel - what do the locals there think about coachella? is it something they look forward to every year or do they perceive it negatively? and, how much insider stuff is out there for you locals (i.e. free tix, special access bands, etc)? seems like the people i know that live in that area always get hooked up.

Based on the people I know, many of the locals do enjoy the festival and I, personally, have not heard anything bad about the fest from the locals. *I heard that the elderly people surrounding the polo grounds are in a bit of an uprising, but who gives a fuck?*

A few people I know have sneaked into the fest because they know someone who is a security guard or for one year, a buddy of mine got in because he posed as a worker for the polo grounds with a laminated card worn around the neck with a string.

There are a few locals who operate as vendors and often receive field passes, another friend of mine had two, and proceeded to keep bringing in one friend at a time till about 22 people were in during 08' for Waters.

As far as I know, anyone living within a certain radius of the festival can receive free tickets but only if they complain. *Do not quote me on this*

On a sailboat for a year *small crew*, visiting various locations around the world.

For a month, I'd say the Denmark because my family *Dad's side* is traced back to the 1400's and I need to get in touch with my viking roots.
