my age is 29.......... my actual, actual age is 30 (my birthday was just over a week ago).. ... ...
as far as my physical shape, i tend to plan my year-round exercise regimen around Coachella, which means i'm rather lazy, out of shape & lethargic in the summer post-chella months.. but that has as much to do with hating the heat, and finding it difficult to get motivated when i'm already sweaty & hot.. i'm far more likely to go for a run or work out during the cooler months..
i was into it a lot in high school, but after looking into what kinds of careers were available with that degree i changed my path pretty quickly.
i decided my career path was raising my children...no monetary pay, but the work is def. interesting, haha.
that happened back east awhile back, new york maybe? a dog ran onto the freeway and got hit. it's buddy also ran out and was walking in circles preventing any cars from hitting him/her again until help arrived.
edit: yup, turns out it was the mother that got hit.

What are the three rules one should live by to survive in this world?
but it is true that prior to Coachella '09 i used to have a couple. they were always publicly known to be me, so they weren't 'aliases' per se.. see, back in the day, i only got on the boards jan-april during 'coachella season', and each year when i'd return to the boards i'd just create a new name.. now that i post year round, using two or three names seems to confuse and/or upset a couple people, so now i just use my 2009 name (which is an amalgamism of my '07 & '08 board names)
i have posted with actual aliases before though, but only one-offs for posting fake lineups, etc. the only alias i ever created that posted more than once or twice was the fake britney spears alias, and even that only lasted for about 20 posts in a two-month period.
i don't use any other name except this one though.
There, got you covered!
Amazing how that happens, huh? One day you sign in, *snaps fingers* and the next thing you know, you're Board Member of the Week! LOL
But, whoa...You signed this "Alias" up for class in July 2009??? Here's my question, Wes...WTF do you do in your spare time? Or, what do you do to support your Coachella/MusicHabit? Any hidden hobbies or talents? And, it's okay to admit that all your spare time is spent here...As long as you tell us what kind of threads amuse you most?
actually, i'm usually only on here when i'm at work, but im usually in front of the computer at work all day, so i'm in here a lot instead of working.. not that much spare time lately, i go to shows & fests nearly every weekend, watch a ton of movies, hang with friends.. i really festivaled it up this year though.. but yeah, whatever time is left over is usually spent in here
i love everything on this board that makes me laugh, which is almost everything.. if there is some funny shit going on, or boardies who are hilarious (whether they know it or not) i'm prob in there reading it.. this board is just the best entertainment, convenient in that i can come on here whether i've got 5 minutes or 5 hours to kill and not get bored. most of my friends aren't nearly cool enough to be down with the coach, except a few out of towners. i showed one friend the poster from last year and she looked at all the names and was like 'oh The Killers & Amy Winehouse are playing, that's cool.. but i don't really know any of the other names..' yeah. those kind of people. (although usually, a year or two later they're all about some act that broke at chella.. said friend is just now discovering Arcade Fire, M.I.A, and Duffy and asking me if i've heard them so i guess my favorite thing about this board is the fact that i can talk to other people about the same things i'm interested in, music or whatever, without the person looking at me like 'what is a coachella?' or 'who the fuck is daft punk?'..
Oh, I can totally relate to what you're saying. Shit, and I missed 99'-03' because I really had no clue what Coachella was about, or who the bands playing were. Discovered what I was missing in 04' and it's been a yearly affair since then. The friend thing blows me away though...I mean, you come onto this board and it's as if we all live for those 3 days throughout the year. You would think something that effective would be seriously contagious, but nooo...People I know think I'm whack and joined some religious cult or some shit when I start talking Coachella! LOL And it was suffacated who told me about the message board for getting more info...Unfortunately, with no message board experience, I'm still learning the etiquette each and everyday. Hell, If someone were to holler, "Hey, Retard!" I'd probably turn and look! LOL And, let's not go into being unemployed and how this board affects that nonsense... I should be a moderator or some shit after the time I spend here. Yep, everything I've learned from the internet, probaly started from a seed from this board... What really gets me is the people who are employed and working...They're here just as much, but getting paid! So, answer this...How does one appear to work when they're actually going from thread to thread? Do you disguise your screen? Are you hidden behind cubicle walls? And if a co-worker pops on by, what do you tell them you're doing if they ask?
people who haven't coachella'd don't understand Coachella. and they won't understand Coachella until they do.. and everyone that does, becomes instantly addicted.
as far as posting at work, a lot shifts for a majority of the shift i'm monitoring output on a computer.. often i'm just sitting there making sure nothing gets fucked up, so i've more than enough time to cruise the boards..
nvbcide, Between this thread and the alias thread, you haven't gotten shit done today at work, you know that, right? LOL And after all the party talk about your job, may I ask what it is that you do?
