After that I'm belive in rooting for the hometown team. You've got to have some kind of legit affiliation with a team to properly root for them. Ergo, I'm a SF 49ers and Sacramento Kings fan as well. U-dub is my school so I have to root for the Huskies through thick or thin, or after they go 0-12. For shame. And I have a lot of family members who went to Arizona and Cal. I've been hearing about it, in football anyway. I root for the Seattle Sounders in American soccer and Arsenal in European football. I know rooting for Arsenal is a bit bandwagon but I like the way they play, a lot of very technical short passing and creative play though speed and skill. They also develop their young players rather than go out and spend $50 million every summer on the lastest huge player on the market like Man U or Chelsea. Not to mention the football in the US doesn't hold a candle to England or Europe, I have to have someone to cheer on.
