Well, the 21-25 age bracket has been good to me. The 26-30 bracket, however, not so good. They were more selfish and were already experienced so it felt like I was going down a laundry list.

i think that's part of how i got my girlfriend. she invited me to her grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary. i looked over at her at one point and said "i want this", meaning to be with someone(had only known her a couple weeks at the time) for so long that we have brought all this love into the world.

In response to the older men thing: They weren't as skilled or energetic as young people when i was young (based on what i would hear), but now they're better.

I've been lucky; I faint before any real pain happens to me. It's a defense mechanism The worst pain I felt was getting my tongue pierced in Chinatown. The lady cleaned the bar with vodka. I should have known better when I saw that, but I was only 15. An incredible piercing pain sparked in the very center of my brain. I fainted after.

I don't think I have the experience to start a record label, but I think watching anime for 8 years would qualify me to start an anime/manga company And I would aim my productions at the least represented audience-- young adult women. Men and boys get their ecchi and hentai (soft and hardcore cartoon porn), young girls get their Sailor Moon and other cutesy magical anime, but there aren't a lot of series for mature women with carnal needs. My company would change that!

Son of Hal is going to Primavera in Barcelona this year. He's also a fan of the Roskilde festival, but isn't that big on this year's lineup (he's crazy). Like all Brits, he's a football fan and I believe he once told me he's an Everton supporter.

Other than that, he makes all the other boardies insanely jealous with the shows available to him across the pond.

I've been going through my old ticket stubs recently and adding a lot of the shows from my past to lastfm. I've still got quite a few to add. I'd say i've been to somewhere in the region of 1000 shows, and on top of that have played around another 200 in the 2 bands i was in during the 90's.

how did you discover coachella? what year did you first attend, and what made it seem worth travelling so far?

2004 was my first year. When i heard about the new Pixies dates in London, i couldn't get any tickets. I checked the rest of their tour dates and saw this festival i had never heard of called Coachella. Radiohead were also playing.

I asked a few friends if they fancied a bit of a road trip. Six of us came over, hired a winnebago and stayed at a trailer park nearby. I enjoyed the festival so much that i've been back every year since.

Also, i ended up getting tickets to 3 of the 4 Pixies nights in London through friends (But you can never see them too many times).

Hal (9000) is the computer from 2001. The first time i ever had to think of a username online (i think it was for msn messenger) i'd just watched the movie.
I've used it on most sites since.

As much as i'm not a fan of it, if it wasn't for Karaoke i'd have never joined a band. I was at a nightclub and there was a Karaoke competition on. A friend entered me as a joke. I'd never tried singing before (outside of the shower) but i won the competition along with some champagne and a day in a recording studio. The song was "I'll Never Fall In Love Again", by Bacharach and David.

"Born To Run" is my fave if i'm ever dragged up these days, as it gives the pipes a good solid workout.

I am my fathers only son, but i have two half brothers on my mothers side.

As far as Animal Spirit Guides go, I'm quite a fan of the beaver.

Watch Awaydays when it comes out at the cinema. This is based on my local team in the area i grew up in (and the soundtrack is excellent). I've never got involved myself, but seen many a skirmish.

Piss bombs are big at Oasis gigs and laddish festivals (Reading and Leeds mainly). I try and avoid both these days.

As far as i know, Hasty Pudding is some early version of porridge (or oatmeal as it is known over your way).

I'd have to take you to various shows in tiny venues, because that is what London is all about for me. The rest of England (bar the northwest) is not that lively, but has some beautiful scenery and buildings. Also, a cheap beer in a Samuel Smiths pub is a must.

What options are available for late night eating? Here in the states, we have a few coffee type shops that are opened late that accomodate club/concert people. There are also individuals who set up their own small spot on the street and make food to buy on the spot. I'm talking comfort food.
