How long is a day in your own little world? A year?
What color is the sky?
I really can't think of a day that feels better than the Thursday of coachella. Since I had the extra time to travel to LA before the festival. I wake up to the memory of seeing a special invite Portishead warm up show at the Palladium. I look at the bracelet still on my arm, and as I look over at Erica, still sleeping, the memorie of last night make me feel warm and fuzzy. I roll over and call room service for breakfast. A perfect pot of coffee, eggs Benedict for me and waffles for my wife. We have cuddle time as we wait for breakfast to come and start the day.*
After breakfast we load up the car and start making our way out to Indio. Coffee and a box of Randy's donuts are with us for the ride. Nothing better than a apple fritter as the windmills appear through the windshield, with our mix playing the bands we are researching as the soundtrack. After a short wait in line we get to our campsite and survey the mountains and the ferris wheel. The rest of the afternoon is spent meeting up with friends of past Coachellas.*
That evening we enjoy the return of the bass tent with Thom Yorke making an appearance at FlyLo's set. After an epic night we settle I to the tent for the night and drift off to sleep to the sound our growing tent city, full of anticipation for the weekend to come.
86,400 seconds, I just counted.
I CAN READ, CAN YOU?What color is the sky?
Let me know if you nee some help with some of the big words. Why is the sky blue?
Light is a kind of energy that can travel through space. Light from the sun or a light bulb looks white, but it is really a mixture of many colors. The colors in white light are red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. You can see these colors when you look at a rainbow in the sky.
The sky is filled with air. Air is a mixture of tiny gas molecules and small bits of solid stuff, like dust.
As sunlight goes through the air, it bumps into the molecules and dust. When light hits a gas molecule, it may bounce off in a different direction. Some colors of light, like red and orange, pass straight through the air. But most of the blue light bounces off in all directions. In this way, the blue light gets scattered all around the sky.
When you look up, some of this blue light reaches your eyes from all over the sky. Since you see blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.
In space, there is no air. Because there is nothing for the light to bounce off, it just goes straight. None of the light gets scattered, and the "sky" looks dark and black.
On a side note, apparently according to my ex-wife's practices since our divorce, it is ok here for you to marry cheddar, unless you are the same sex.

I can only use black pens. It's not due to my jungle fever, but I get frowned upon at work using any other color.
It's amazing how pretty much all of us made his screen name into something more complicated than it is.

Well, this was fun and all, but it's after 5pm in my time zone so here's the big announcement. Since he has never taken a turn in this thread during his tenure, TomAz has accepted an invitation to be our next contestant. Let the game begin.
Tom,
In your nearly 5 decades of experience on this Earth, tell us about your top 5 most cherished, past or presently owned modes of transportation and why each holds that place in your heart.
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case....
Kory I don't think I have 5 modes of transportation that I've owned that I've cherished, so this is a stretch.
1. 1964 GMC straightside pickup truck. I had this in high school, the previous owner had converted the three-in-the-tree to a four-on-the-floor, so it had this really long stickshift like a school bus. My dad got me an 8 track player for it. This is the vehicle I had when I got my driver's license (1978), but it threw a rod so then I got..
2. 1968 Ford Galaxy 500. V8, approximately 0 miles per gallon. Loud, rusted tail pipe, dents, etc. It was beautiful. It got me around.
3. My current car, which I think I'm going to keep to myself. It's the best car I've ever even thought of driving, but it was expensive.
4. oh and I had this little sailfish sailboat in high school too. plastic hull, cheap nylon sails. great fun.
5. my bicycle in elementary school, but all I can remember is it was a 3-speed and not a Schwinn.
Shenanigans.
If you could go back twenty years what would you do differently? One piece of advice that you live by and would die by? One item that you have purchased that you could not live without?(ie good set of pans pots)
I wish I had started exercising a lot sooner and when it would have prevented later problems. I wish I'd eaten more fiber. I wish I'd known then what I know now. I wish I could have stolen music on the internet. I wish I'd liked myself better.
Advice. Learn to write well. It will do more for your life than you can imagine.
Item. do you mean an item I bought 20 years ago? other than music the first thing that comes to mind are cookbooks.
Did you lose your virginity when condoms were still called rubbers?
